If UNC loses 3 in a row, they fall to like an 11. Right now I could see them beating Duke and getting up to a 6ish seed. Playing extremely well right now.

With Ryan Kelly back, Duke will have an advantage in my opinion over UNC's smaller lineup which the Blue Devils have already beaten once. But that was the first game that Roy Williams utilized that new look and that game was almost a month ago. UNC has been playing at a very high level since then and its players now have confidence that they are as good as the name on the front of their jersey suggests they are. That's huge. Because there was none of that early in the year from what I could tell. I see a team now, while without a true "star," has a ceiling similar to the 2011 Elite Eight squad.
Unless the Blue Devils have one of their classic 10 to 12 three-pointer nights, the Tar Heels will beat Duke in Chapel Hill.

Anyone down for $10-20 on the player pick'em contest this year? We could easily use Paypal. Last year we had 20 people, 7 players per team. It worked out really well and we had the draft done in 2-3 days.
Even if people aren't down for the money idea, who wants to run it? We should have the participants and draft order ready to go right after the brackets are announced.

I was just getting ready to post to see if everyone wanted to do that again. I'm down for 10-20 bucks.Azubuike24;1400266 wrote:Anyone down for $10-20 on the player pick'em contest this year? I'm down for money but do not have the time to run it this year. But for sure down to participate.

Joe Lunardi's latest projections are out...I honestly think I'd pick UNC for the Final 4 in their bracket.

After closer look with his projections I'd have Indiana, Michigan, Florida and Kansas as my Final 4
.....but had Mich/UNC in round 2 and winner going through that bracket.

Picking an actual bracket I'd go with Michigan as I'd be worried UNC gets slightly upset by Oklahoma in Round 1
He had the West 1. Gonzaga 2. Mich 3. New Mex 4. OSU 5. Zona 6. VCU 7. UNC 8. SD State 9. Cincy 10. Oklahoma 11. Colorado 12. LaSalle
Just looks weak to me compared to the others.

I just can't get myself to pick the non-big boy schools. I know New Mexico is good and worthy but I just can't trust them to win 4 games in the tourney.

You're crazy. I don't think New Mexico is nearly as good as the love they're getting.

I think there a very good team but with that bracket I could see them out of that region.

No clear favorite in the tourney with IU losing to OSU at home.

I'll be honest. After what we've seen this year, nothing shocks me. However, this result mildly shocks me...
Serve has been held at home for the most part. Great win for OSU...

58 pts???!?!?!?!?!?!
WHAT THE FAKKKK. Lol.
Good win for Ohio St. Regroup and beat Michigan.
I really feel bad for the Seniors (Hulls, Elston and Watford...as well as Creek, who has a 5th year but isnt sure if he will use it). They are the first to ever have a 20 loss season and be part of a #1 ranked team in NCAA history. Getting ready to watch the speeches on BTN...Im sure Ill cry lol.

Did Zeller and Oladipo get honored with the other Seniors?

They were honored before the game (along with Hulls and Watford) as 1000 pt scorers. I think the first time a team has ever had four 1000 pt scorers on the same team.

All-time or at Indiana?Laley23;1401070 wrote:They were honored before the game (along with Hulls and Watford) as 1000 pt scorers. I think the first time a team has ever had four 1000 pt scorers on the same team.
Florida's last championship team had 5 (Brewer, Green, Horford, Humphrey and Noah).
I am sure Rec will chime in shortly with Duke stats...

I would pay for the player pick-em. Also, before I forget, I'm going to Clearwater on Friday for a week so reserve me a spot in the contest. I'll be back in time for the draft this year, but I'll probably miss the thread where we sign up.
