He was on top of lineman during that entire play.

Mike Pereira ‏@MikePereira
We have looked at ND/STA last play from every angle & feel that it is a TD. Progress was not ruled & runner was not down. Ball broke plain.

I wonder what Pereira thought about the "Bush Push" play back in '05. Oh well. Both are in the books. Crying about either call doesn't change anything. What a game. Enjoying the win.

GO IRISH!

I guess one year of relevancy in the last 22 isn't too bad. ;-)

Crying? Ha, no. Even though Notre Dame can go to hell, Stanford tied that game.

It was an awful call but Stanford had their chances. ND is probably going to win 10 games, although I could still see them dropping one that they shouldnt

Even if it had been ruled a TD...they still had an XP to kick so no...they would not have tied it yet.

You just never know.

I understand. But if you are going to submit video as evidence to overturn, that video fails.

The linesman marked Taylor down before his wriggling over bodies towards the goal-line (pretty sure he blew his whistle), during which his elbow touched the ground when he was extending the ball before it crossed the plane, thus making him down before scoring regardless.

going off the gif that end of line posted, it looks like his elbow hit down after the ball had already been extended over the goalline

All I saw was that last play. Watched it live, and the NBC replays. I could watch it 10 times and might say 5x progress stopped ND wins and 5x touchdown Stanford. Tough call.

All it takes is 1 time watching the gif to see you're wrong.

Not the kind of game you want to watch on your phone at a wedding reception while the maid of honor is giving her speech, but I'll take it.
