I usually post stats or info, but I think Harry Doyle says it the best in Major League 2 (sadly, I can't find a video)

Harry Doyle: [drunk] Bottom of the 9th, Cleveland down 1 to nothing. Baker steps in he's 0 for... I don't know. Who cares?

The kids still care and the coaches still care, and that is all that matters if you are trying to get better. These guys will do well in the future as most of them will be back for another 1, 2 or 3 years. But, some years you just have to eat a toad. Hopefully they can steal a win before its over.

Of course the players are still all about, as they should be. Obviously they still care, I speak from the view of someone without a dog in the fight (I believe you still have one in it, correct?)

It's been a rough one, but nothing we aren't used to in Salem. Even if you see it coming (and we did), after a few playoff years it is going to come as a letdown. I may joke like this, but having been there before I would never say anything actually hurtful.

This week is a better matchup for the Quakers, and with Minerva banged up at QB, I think we have a decent chance.

Salem gets their first win; 24 - 20. :D
