Bronson gets Pablo with an intentionally high pitch after his only one down in the zone. I wonder if the pitches that Pagan and Scutaro hit very hard were where he wanted them?

Bronson didn't fool anyone....if they quit swinging for homers we could be in trouble.

Reds manager Dusty Baker confirmed Sunday that Homer Bailey will start Game 3 against the Giants. Johnny Cueto (back) has been ruled out, and may not return for the rest of the series. The Reds are hoping to avoid having to replace Cueto on the NLDS roster. "Homer is our Game 3 option," Baker said. "You can’t take a chance with Johnny, and we have to see exactly. We can’t have him go out there again and come up short."

Can you replace someone on the series roster, say Simon by Leake, knowing that would make him ineligible for the next series without claiming he his injured?

I believe they stated if they were to replace Cueto, he would be ineligible for the NLCS. In that case, it would have to be Leake because they would need another starter. Simon and LeCure can basically serve the same role, but as we saw last night, you need at least one of them around. I really thought they should have found a way to put Mesoraco on the roster...

Arroyo looking solid thus far. Playing to the park and conditions.

I'm saying leave Cueto on the roster even though he doesn't pitch this series to preserve the possibilty of him pitching next series, while sacrificing Simon for the rest of this series and the NLCS.

Nice to see Votto score from 2nd. Big chance here to make it a 3 or 4-run lead.

Big hit by Rolen to get a run in and put two more in position. Need to get at least one more run in this inning, and before I can get it typed, Hanigan knocks them both in!

I just want something other than a ground ball from him right now.

Good job by Stubbs to beat the throw and turn over the line-up.
