It seems that this rule needs clarification.

Don't post pictures of half-naked women (or fully nude, obviously). This includes bikini shots, though pictures of women participating in a sporting event should be fine. Basically, unless it's the Olympics there probably isn't a reason to post a picture of a woman in a bikini.

Don't post sexual jokes or make comments of a sexual nature. Yes, it's obvious that you want to have sex with Katy Perry. You don't have to tell us.

I'd rather not have to worry about these rules but we're kinda at the mercy of adsense. If they take it away again it certainly isn't going to come back and at that point the site gets shut down. People have asked what words might flag us. I have no idea. They don't disclose that, they are extremely vague. Essentially, don't post like a sex-deprived pervert.

I'm going to be sorta lenient on this rule for a while. If you post something that I think might cross the line I'm just going to delete it (or another moderator will). If something you posts gets deleted, don't start another thread flipping out about having your post or thread deleted. Just deal with it. I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just trying to keep revenue.

Honest question, F4F's avatar? Seems since its not olympics, then it should be taken down.

I don't know. Ask google. They told me that something as simple as a picture of a girl in a bikini, depending on the pose, could cause the site to be flagged. I'm guessing that google realizes that beach volleyball isn't sexual?

Feel free to ask them here: http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/adsense

It's based on the feedback I got from them. But you're right. No chicks in bikini's, sporting event or not.

Probably the URL behind the picture that they will see an flag. If its a sporting event it won't be sexual, more than likely.

It's more than the url, or else people could just post nudes to imageshack or something. The can actually scan the pictures to see if they're nude or close to it.

I don't understand how adsense and other ad companies like it can make money when adblock is available.

Because the VAST majority of people don't use adblock.

they should, but I guess that'd put you out of business. I hate having ads on webpages.

I used to use it. Then I started running a site. Without ads the internet as you know it wouldn't exist.

Exactly. No one wants to pay, which I understand, but then no one wants you to have a way to otherwise generate the revenue needed to keep the bills paid.

OTOH, "people" like the clowns running the Puddle making their site look like a Nascar sled invites the use of ad blockers.

Yep. That's why I use a reasonable number of ads (generally, 2) on the page. The pop-ups and slide-ins and videos and infolinks are unbearable.

Do ads generate money just by loading or do you have to click on them? Because even if I weren't using adsense, I would never click on some ad on a webpage.

Perhaps you'll be take more seriously without the retaliation. Good lord.

I see a lot of quick thread bans in your future. You really seem to devolve a lot of threads into complete shit.

Just a hunch, but if you're going to report someone, it's probably not a good idea to retaliate.
