While I agree with the notion that expressing these thoughts in a public forum isn't the smartest thing to do, I tend to agree with him. I have an extreme distaste for nonsense, and pretending that a large number, if not most, D1 football players are there for "an education" is the pinnacle of crapola. If we're going to have big time college football, let's be honest about it. If someone wants to major in a traditional program, fine. For the rest, offer an "athletic performance" major. Teach them the kind of basic life skills they can use that in case they make it to the next level, they won't end up on "Broke II" on ESPN.
