Mike brown is trash. Lakers weren't ever going to win it all with him.

I just like how the players get no blame here. They've won 1 game... They make the plays. No way they should be that bad.

So Pat Shurmur isn't to blame?

For real though, it is the coach's job/responsibility to get them on the same page. He wasn't doing that. He hasn't done that since the day he arrived in LA. It was a bad hire to begin with and I'm honestly surprised he made it to a 2nd season.

  • Jack Nicholson
  • Lou Adler
  • Yori Saneyoshi
  • Takeru Kobayashi
  • Kobe Bryant
  • Derek Fisher
  • Pat Riley
  • Ry Patley
  • Anybody who isn’t Stan Van Gundy

Coaching in the NFL is 100x more important than the NBA. They've won 1 game. Sorry, that's on the players not Brown. Yea he's not a great coach but they've just been terrible.

Pat shurmur is an idiot. But you could also blame players, dropped passes, poor qb play in 4th quarter.

But seriously?? This lakers team is full of superstars and they can't win 1 game in the preseason or 2 out of 5 in the regular season. It's not all mike browns fault. The lakers should be able to win some games just showing up.

Doesn't matter who coaches this team. They are simply not very good. Did I mention they are old? Very old. And overrated.

Nash is wayyy over the hill and Bryant has lost a step. Jamison should not be in the league and Pau Gasol doesn't know what defending means. Only Howard is is in his prime , but with his inability to make foul shots, it's hard for him to be on the floor during crunch time.

I said it above...Brownie will get fired and cast as the scapegoat. But this team will not make the playoffs...doesn't matter who the coach is.

You were one of the ones that LOL'd me when I called this. Basketball coaches in the NBA are in fact important. But like every pro sport, you need the horses. Brown had very little talent to work with. Big names that are washed up are...well...big names that are washed up.

Brownie's winning style in Cleveland was all about defending. Who on that LA team has ever played a lick of defense? nobody..except maybe Metta Peace a few years ago.

They are old, and they are bad, and they will not make the playoffs. Save my posts if you want just in case I'm wrong. I'm usually right.

I vote for hiring Phil then turning the job over to Brian Shaw in the next year or two. Wishful thinking.

Players saying they want a certain coach just make them look stupid. Cause what if Phil says no, then what??

I think most fully expect Phil to do it tho. They'll probably pay him 10 mil.
