Same, but Im not sure having the salaries/personnel of KG, CP3, Griffin, Howard, and PP would work out.

Obvious log jam with the bigs with KG, Griffin, and Howard.

I think you misunderstood me. I don't think there is anyway KG, Chris Paul, Griffin, Howard and Pierce would all end up in the same spot.

I said I've seen reports about Chris Paul and Dwight Howard wanting to land in the same spot (just those two), which is manageable.

I read that the LAC are hoping make a sign and trade for Dwight, sending Blake and Bledsoe to the Lakers.

I think I would be okay with that. Griffin is only going to get better, and I like Bledsoe's game. Lakers would still have cap space next year.

Really? You think Griffin is only going to get better? Since his first year in the league his production in both ppg and rpg have gone down each year. This coupled with the fact that he already had knee problems (Stress fracture that led to a broken knee cap and subsequent surgery that kept him out of his rookie year) doesn't bode well for him. Yes, he could improve his shooting, but that's not his talent. He was/is a big physical power forward with explosive athleticism. The fact that his points and rebounds are already going down should be a warning sign.

Hey, it's possible that I'm completely wrong. But I just wouldn't gamble on his future.

No, I didnt misunderstand you, I was just elaborating on my thoughts from my prior post some. Basically saying that there is little chance Paul stays with the Clippers if that trade with the Celtics happens.

Question: Why on earth would the Clippers want to do a sign and trade for Dwight, especially an all-star (albeit overrated) and a young player with nice potential when they could get Dwight for free, anyways? Guess I dont see the point in helping out your cross-town rival, because the Lakers getting Griffin and Bledsoe would set them up for the post-Kobe era a lot better.

It would set the Lakers up to become a chronic 4th seed in the West. Griffin isn't going to win shit.

I know he alone isnt going to win shit, but there is no denying it will make them better. Pau/Jamison or Pau/Griffin? Bledsoe comes in immediately as the best backup PG, which is important because of Nash's age, and potentially can be the future of that position for them. I cant consider the Lakers a "chronic 4th seed", because they will always be a top FA destination. We arent talking about the Hawks or Nuggets.

This. Griffin isn't going to take your team to a higher level. He'll sell tickets. Which the lakers probably don't need.

If you're the lakers you hold off on your tradeable assets until you can get a better return.

I may even be generous with saying 4th seed. Here are the teams that I think will be better than the Lakers for at least next year. OKC, Spurs, Denver, Memphis, Clippers and Golden State. Hell maybe even the Rockets lead by top 26 player James Harden. Unless the Lakers get some major upgrades most of those teams will be better for a while.

Cant disagree with that. I stated on here a week or so ago that I think the future looks dim for LA right now. My point is just that I dont see why the Clippers should give them anything when they can get Howard for free, because I think having Griffin would help them lure a big FA and put them at the top again. But Im not well versed in all the sign and trade stuff.

OKC better
Spurs better
Denver...maybe(lot of uncertainty there)
Memphis (ditto)
Clippers (ditto)
Golden state ( healthy Lakers with Dwight are better IMO)

The Lakers started horrible yes, but they did finish 30-12 after getting some continuity. Yes they got swept, but what team wouldn't missing their top 4 guards.

Scott Swegan ‏@ScottSwegan 14m See, Dan Gilbert is all about keeping LeBron from winning championships. He knew what he was doing by releasing Danny Green.
