5-21 7 turnovers. Clear after this series KD cant handle the weight without Westbrook.

Will Durant get hammered by the media?

I doubt it.

Typically when you are not a "hey look at me" douche bag, the media takes it easy on you.

I agree, he won't hear a thing. He's been shown as the quiet, "good guy" since day one.

The no Westbrook excuse seems to be the go to for now.

If he struggled for an entire year without Westbrook it would be different. But did anyone really expect him to carry a team spur of the moment like that? for 5 years he has had Westbrook. He has never had to do it on his own and then all of a sudden he did...in the playoffs...with no time to adjust how you or your team plays.

Well no shit. Did people actually expect Durant to beat the Grizz by himself?

Yes. The people who say Westbrook is what holds the Thunder back.

Nobody thinks theyre better without him. Westbrook does take too many horrible shots but people who know even a little about bball know hes still a damn good player.

There is a difference between him doing less (especially in crunch time) or replacing him with another great PG and him simply being hurt and not able to play at all.

I dont know..I mean people expected the Cavs to at least make the ECF with only Lebron.

I'd take the former over the latter. The former at least gets them the #1 seed in the West and the Finals.

I would probably lean that way also, pending on who they replaced him with. However, people who think Westbrook is bad for the Thunder (not me) probably dont think just erasing him from the team with no preparation for Durant and no replacement was going to end well. That was my point.

I dont think its clear that Durant can't handle it without Westbrook, the truth is the Memphis Grizzlies are better than OKC without Westbrook. Not too mention Westbrook was hurt in the postseason and OKC had no time to adjust to a guy being gone who was such a huge part of your offense.

Not 100% sure. George Hill is likely out for the season with the concussion. He is a HUGE part of their offense.
