Except it was clearly intentionalHb31187;1434734 wrote:The NBA is so damn soft now a days. Jr smith ripped through like you're taught, caught Terry w an elbow n gets ejected. should be a personal foul and play on, like it was in the 90s

Did he already have a T? I just saw it for the first time, not bad enough for an auto-ejection. But for sure deserving of a T.

certainly not ejection worthy lol. I hate how they treat NBA players now a days, they overreact to any kind of contact

Not sure that incident was an overreaction, looked like pretty clean contact that was definitely intentional. I don't know the exact rule on Flagrant 2 but that has to be right on par with it.Hb31187;1434761 wrote:certainly not ejection worthy lol. Intentional elbow to the face should be an ejection.

You can't throw an intentional elbow at someones face with force, that's indefensible.Hb31187;1434765 wrote:And that's the issue, in the 90s foul play on....now....to the monitors, a fine n ejection

I agree. It's basketball not MMA, nothing soft about eating an elbow to the mouth.Laley23;1434766 wrote:Intentional elbow to the face should be an ejection.

After that incident the league/Stern has taken drastic measures in trying to "clean" up the image of the league. Anything that looks like fighting is not welcome under his watch.

Lol what? There were full on fights in the middle of games. Watch the one with shaq. It just wasn't made such a big deal back then by the media.

Agreed. There is just so many more cameras on these guys now and coverage every where. Every elbow is caught from a hundred angles now and there are a thousand reporters covering it

Really? I don't think he was being sarcastic at all. He legitimately thinks that NBA players would have little "cheap shots" (now flagrants) during the course of a game and nothing would escalate.like_that;1434838 wrote:I read his post as sarcasm.
