Lakers go down again. Lose at home to Utah, one of the worst road teams in the NBA.

The lakers suck. They play terrible d and turn the ball over way too much. And there's no unison at all with Kobe and Dwight.

I like "Swiss Cheese" defense better.

He's already been blaming Gasol. It'll only get worse.

He isn't wrong but he'd be a hypocrite to criticize his teammates when he's sucking it up too.

The Lakers are toast this year. I mean, they might make the playoffs as a 7 or 8 seed but they aren't making the finals or winning any playoff series.

Dwight's one and only season with the Lakers is even more disastrous than I thought

I'm in the running for free tickets to the Knicks/Lakers game this Thursday. It's between me and about 12 others.

I'm hoping I get them. I want to see a game where the crowd is actually in it. My one and only MSG/Knicks experience resulted in 20pt beatdown by Indy with Psycho T getting 30.

Kobe is not sucking it up this year. Not even close. He's the only one doing anything for LA.

And by "doing anything" you mean losing games? Interesting how Kobe gets all the credit when the team is doing well, but dumps all the criticism onto his teammates when things aren't.

His offensive effort has been great, defense has been poor, like the rest of the team.

I do find it amusing that Kobe is teflon when it comes to where the blame goes for losing. Maybe his attitude towards teammates really isn't as beneficial as he thinks it is. Dare I say... locker room cancer?

The Lakers burned their championship hopes when they went with D'Antoni. I love Mike and his offensive mind -- the Suns were absolutely beautiful to watch during their heyday -- but I seriously doubt if he will ever get to the NBA Finals, let alone win one. And this year, the Lakers are in alarming jeopardy of missing the playoffs. You reap what you sew.

But I agree with wildcats. Offensively, Kobe has been as good as ever (excluding 2003 through 2008). He's scoring at a 34 points per game clip in December, having scored over 34 in four of the last five games. He's doing it all for a team that is at a crossroads in terms of its identity.

There in lies part of the problem though, Kobe 28 shots tonight and Dwight with 9 shot attempts.

You make a good argument. Kobe is definitely a volume shooter most nights. But, frankly, nine shots (and by "shots" I mean "dunks") is about where I want Howard. His offensive game is a joke. Dwight's range on a good night is a slam.

He "shot" a lot more than that, he just gets fouled. Dwight gets the ball plenty.

Not blaming Kobe because he is playing great, just think it is very interesting the Lakers are now 1-10 with him shooting more than 20 times/game.

I don't buy into the D'Antonio can't win mindset. Joe Johnson doesn't get hurt and Amare stays on the bench very well could have won a 'ship.

Watching the NO Hornets (Pelicans) nd the Wizards...its full of teh lulz. Just bad basketball hah. Davis is a stud, Beal......I have to check to make sure he's playing.

He's gotta since no one else will step up offensively. This team just looks plain awful outside him and Howard, they look afraid to make mistakes and are second guessing everything
