Yes Richardson should be running the ball 18-20 times a game and then probably get another 3-5 touches in receptions...No excuse for his 12 carries last night, He is your best player on that offense GIVE HIME THE DAMN BALL!

Good old doucher SQ Crazies arguing with me on one of my Facebook friends wall about why McCoy is "legit and should be the starter." He hasn't changed. Still a delusional asshat.

I just don't understand the Weeden hate from the Browns' fans. I understand he looked like crap in the first game but he has improved since and I guess memories are short because I sure don't remember McCoy looking that good either. On top of that Weeden can make throws that I don't think McCoy could even attempt to make. It almost seems like some fans just want the QB with the bigger name. Oh and McCoy was far from legit as an NFL starter. I realize he didn't have the best team around him but I don't remember him showing that much either.

That is crazy to me. Do people actually believe McCoy could stand in there pressured and deliver throws down the field? Hell no.

He's looked like crap more than just in the first game.

I give him credit because he has definitely improved (despite terrible coaching..) since he's been here. And he has actually looked good at times this year. I just don't think he'll ever look good consistently, which is what I want my QB to be.

It's just a matter of preference really...I don't think we can win a SB without an elite, top 5 QB. Some think we can with a top 10-15 QB. Matter of opinion.

I thought he handled himself well after the pick 6 and I didn't really expect it. That was a backbreaking play and I figured he and the rest of the team would fold.

He's a dumbass. I had no issue with McCoy when they first drafted him but after awhile you just saw that he didn't pass the sniff test. Unfortunately they lost last night but I think they're lucky to get 6 points with McCoy at the helm. His lacking skills just condense the field and make it easier for defenses to defend.

I think Weeden will be fine but I want to see him with some guys who will consistently catch the ball. I know people who defend McCoy will say "the same can be said for Colt" (regarding the dropped passes), which is true, but the physical skillset between the two of these QB's is night & day. I just think that Weeden opens up the offense more.

Why are we even debating the QB? Weeden played well last night, DROPS killed us last night. Drops people. We should be bitching about Braylon Little. HE single handedly killed at least 2 drives last night. Cameron had a timely drop as well. Also the thomas hate is getting ridiculous. Dude's a stud, and is far from the fucking problem. lolfail on any dipshit talking about trading him. He's dealing with a knee issue, and is still the best LT in the game.

Saw some stats to back up Shurmur's pass happy offense. The Browns have thrown the ball 69% of the time while running 31%. Now part of that is due to playing from behind but those numbers are way out of whack. No way you're going to win consistently, with a rookie QB, throwing the ball that much.

I mean you can maneuver the run pass split all you want, we weren't gonna win that game nor are we going to win many games at all this season.

I didn't make excuses for McCoy and I certainly won't for Weeden. The pick 6 killed us.

I'm not posting those stats to make excuses for Weeden. Any team needs more balance than that. Even GB & New Orleans with their pass happy offenses. I agree that the pick 6 killed us....along with the two dropped TD's by Little & Norwood.

You're subconsciously making excuses for him, even though you may not mean to. Norwoods wasn't a drop the defender knocked it out of his hands, by the way.

So now you're a psychologist? Thanks.... :rolleyes: and Norwood had his hands on that ball. Doesn't matter if the defender knocked it out of his hands. He had 3 drops on the night while the team had 9 catchable balls that they didn't come down with.

I'm not expecting perfection but even 50% of those being caught might have meant the difference in the game.

As far as the "balanced offense" thing, like_that and I were already having a conversation about that before I even brought up the actual stats.

69/31 is fucking pathetic. No reason to take your best offensive weapon out of the game.

Also I am with COA, whoever was saying we should try and trade JT needs to GTFO and quit talking about football. That's a complete joke.
