Another tough matchup in the PAC this week, with two teams that are off to great starts in the conference. Triway with two big wins, and 40+ points in each game. I think the big question here is can Triway stop the run? I expect 8 or 9 guys in the box and a very physical game.. WHO YA GOT?!

Yet another team that will challenge us up front. If our offense plays like they did against Tuslaw, we're tough to beat. But our defense will need to step it up. However, I think our D has gotten better since the season started. A few players have stepped up big and filled some shoes, which has been nice to see.

i believe that our D has improved greatly since that first week and our core of linebackers is definitely our strong point.. and shuler and ickes in the middle are tough kids to move

There will be a lot of norwayne fans checking this game out. The talk of the county is maybe a triway vs norwayne show down in the play offs. CVCA played norwayne as tough as anyone has this year

In order for that to happen, a lot of things have to happen.
1. Make the playoffs
2. Win a playoff game (pretty confident it wouldn't be a 1st round match-up)

We are only 1/2 the way through the season. While it's gone fast, it's still hard to believe there is so much football left to play before the post-season. We need to win this week. Big game for these kids.

Haha, yes. I was guilty of the same thing last year, building up Norwayne vs Orrville. :D It's different when it's one's own team.

Not a first round game??? Orrville is getting you zero points each week and you currently sit at the #9 spot in the region while Norwayne is floating from #1-#2. I know there is a lot of football to be played, but if things stay the course as they are...a first round match-up is likely! But Triway better worry about making it to the playoffs first! Remember Hillsdale?...9-1 and not make it. The PAC is down and your getting no love from your non-conference wins at all!

We definitely are at a tough spot right now. But if we are to make the playoffs, we'll only be able to lose 1 more game (well, Fantastic50.net has us 50% at 7W). If that's the case, it means we beat 2 of CVCA, Indian Valley, and Manchester. Those 2 (or 3?) wins plus a win over DII Timken will definitely give us a boost. And according to Fantastic50, Norwayne is tied for only the 3rd most likely 1st round match-up. I guess I wasn't crazy after all. Haha.

Let me remind you gentlemen, its week six! Who cares about week 11 right now. One game at a time. Playoff talk is great but there are more pressing issues, like CVCA's running game for instance

According to Fantastic50: Norwayne 2nd, Triway 3rd, Northwestern 5th, Orrville 10th - Region 13
Playoff chances with a win this week: Norwayne 99%, Triway 91%, Northwestern 36%, Orrville 1%

I'd love a Triway/Norwayne matchup  us Titans would be underdogs, but I would LOVE to see it. I see the titans ending the season 9-1 or 8-2 if we keep playing, and improving like we do. We gave West Holmes an amazing game, and IMO they're the best team in the Wayne/Holmes area.

I believe that makes them 2-2, losses to WH and Smithville.. JV is 3-1-1, so looks like some talent coming up for us as well

Triway 38
CVCA 21

Great team win tonight by the Titans! Outside of 3 big plays (60-yard run, 66-yard pass, and 28-yard interception return to the 1), we shut out and shut down CVCA. We held them to 204 total yards, 126 of which were on 2 plays. After the 1st quarter, we held them to 15-for-12 rushing, and they finished with only 6 (non-penalty) first downs! On offense we had several players with big games. The highlight was Kyle Kearney catching a school single-game record of 15 passes, for 155 yards and 3 TD. Our O- and D-lines did well all night, our linebackers cleaned up, our DBs had 2 picks, our receivers caught balls, Parker was on the money all night, and we did not punt once. Very proud of this win. Now time to buckle it up for Indian Valley next week. Go Titans!
