Iowa.

When does the best football coach in the B1G, aka Kirk Ferentz, get booted from Iowa?

He has a $3.65 million contract running through 2020. They'd have to eat a ton of money to can him.

But in fairness to Iowa, he only averaged 5 losses a season from 2005-2009. If you can extend that guy for 10 years at one of the top 5 coaching salaries in CFB, you gotta do it.

Not a team, but anyone see the Georgia Tech guy get an untouched safety on the kickoff? Leaned forward out of the endzone and then took a knee. That probably qualifies for the worst of the worst this week.

The worst is the times of the good games today. They are all on at the same time (starting times 7:30-8:00) and not spread out. (except for the Oregon/AZ late game).

It's everywhere this year. B1G is down throughout basically, SEC is down outside of Alabama, Big 12 is meh. Only reason BE and ACC aren't "down" because they have been for 5 years so it's like nothing changed.

Not that anymore proof is needed that Ferentz sucks, but I just saw that this was Iowa's 10th loss as a double-digit favorite since 2006.

Half the SEC is in the top 25 polls, but you say they are down? What are they when they are up, 1 thru 6 ? smh

a) a few of them are overrated right now (Florida and South Carolina IMO)
b) Since everyone is down in general this year, they get ranked by default.

The B1G is completing its shift from a dominant athletic conference to an even more dominant academic conference. The latter is far more important.

If you're going to make a judgement after 4 weeks, it's tough to do it outside of a few marquee OOC games. However, it IS fair to criticize some teams for losing some BAD games against teams they shouldn't lose to. The Pac 12, SEC and Big XII have pretty much avoided any bad losses. I do think it's fair to take the bottom third of all the BCS leagues and say, for the most part, they ALL suck and would struggle to win many of the mid and low-level leagues. However, head to head, those 3 leagues have gotten the best of the other 3, and in overall struggles, the B1G, ACC and Big East have struggled big time with some other opponents.

Ohio won at Penn State
Ball State won at Indiana
Central Michigan won at Iowa

Iowa beat Northern Illinois by 1
Wisconsin over Northern Iowa by 5 and Utah State by 2
Minnesota needed OT to beat UNLV and Western Michigan by 5
Michigan beat Air Force by 6
Ohio State has really struggled against 3 teams they should have put away as easily as Miami

The conference is also 4-8 against other BCS schools.

I do find it somewhat funny that people call South Carolina, Florida and Georgia overrated, considering how they have looked in the first month. Sure, maybe they aren't all top 10 teams, but then you have to ask...who has looked like they ARE?

Colorado might win. Win or lose, you can't put them on this list today.

Down 6 w/ ball in the red zone against Wazzou in the 4th quarter.

My money is on Leach getting them to at least bowl eligibility within 3 years. Which would be impressive given what he inherited from Paul Wulff. They really don't have the personnel to be attempting 60 passes in a game right now.

Good for Colorado to bounce back though. They were embarrassing last week.

LSU and Louisville both with unimpressive 1st quarters tonight.
