Haynes has been getting downfield quickly a lot this season, nice to see it pay off with a great play...

I don't think long snappers should be allowed to go downfield till the ball is at least kicked. If they aren't allowed to be hit, it seems unfair for them to get a free start down the field.

Travis Howard misses a LOT of tackles.

It was a joke that hardly anyone besides OSU fans are watching this game. I know what CBS thinks, it's been big news all week.Pick6;1277365 wrote:I dont know how i feel about him being one, but CBS does. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/heisman
Dont think 70% of those guys are OSU fans.

I thought you are allowed to chop block? As long as the defender isn't in contact with another blocker?

That's what a chop block is. Cut block = legal. Chop block (engaged defender) = penalty.Crimson streak;1277376 wrote:I thought you are allowed to chop block? As long as the defender isn't in contact with another blocker?

I think you are unless the player is engaged or it's not from the front.

Any statisticians out there? I wonder how many 20+ yard plays this defense has given up in 3+ games compared to the total number of 20+ yard plays in 14 games in 2002.

Thats what happens when you miss spring, miss camp, and are limited in practice. I think he will be legit come mid-season, but he needs a lot more gametime and practice to get therePick6;1277382 wrote:Williams is having a shitty game, IMO.

no it's not. 2002 was tress's 2nd year and Dantonio's 6th total year with Tressel, as DCAutomatik;1277384 wrote:But the first year for each coach.

This defense is just atrocious.
So many bad angles and tackles.
Sparty is going to run all over the field next week.
