Yup, defense continues to look pathetic when it comes to tackling.

My post "B1G is turrable" seemed to fit right in with other posts in this thread. You calling me old and creepy is trolling. But I get the warning.Automatik;1277227 wrote:I responded to your observation with one of my own.
Now try acting your age and lets get back on the topic.

Urban needs to treat them all like high schoolers after the game. Right there on the field make them run sprints and do grass drills

Why isnt Miller looking to run? He needs to do that to open the offense up.

This is one of the worst quarters of football I have ever seen, and its probably only the third worse quarter for OSU this season. Urban has his hands full with this group of kids.
That being said, I just want to see buy-in to his system, and improvement every week. There are going to be some BAD moments this season, but looking for a year of adjustment and acclimation.

Dropped passes and missed tackles... Bad combination to have. Awful first quarter.

I understand everyone still adjusting to a new offense but we should see improvement on both sides of the ball each week. If we don't see improvement we will see some changes in the off-season!

OSU should be up against a mediocre UAB team at home.
The defense still looks sad and the Bucks are seriously inconsistent and relatively unimaginative on offense.
If Ohio State plans to go to East Lansing and win, there's plenty of room for improvement.

I think this sums up the issues right here. Meyer's schemes require his players to be men, be leaders, and be accountable. This team is consistently men nor accountable. It's hard to say they aren't leaders after what they went through last year and how they have turned games around this year. At the same time, A leader that is an accountable man would probably put a stop to some of this shit on the field before it got out of hand.BigAppleBuckeye;1277243 wrote: group of kids.

I said it last week - Braxton is the only playmaker on this offense. When they don't let him run, it is miserable to watch.

Reaves is carrying tacklers 4-5 yards after the initial hit.
Gettin bossed by UAB isn't good.

Him being the best playmaker doesnt make him the only playmaker. The offense is based around him, which is why it is miserable to watch if he isnt running. Maybe if he could get a ball to a WR, we could see some other playmakers.Mulva;1277249 wrote:I said it last week - Braxton is the only playmaker on this offense. Worst defense I have seen at OSU in a long time.
Total lack of fundamentals.

Maybe if they (WRs) didn't drop the ball on 3rd and 3 we could sustain some drives.Pick6;1277252 wrote:. Maybe if he could get a ball to a WR, we could see some other playmakers.

Really reaching. One drop or multiple bad throws. Which is of more importance?lhslep134;1277256 wrote:Maybe if they (WRs) didn't drop the ball on 3rd and 3 we could sustain some drives.
