Why should some be entitled to vote?

If you been on entitlement programs for more that three years plus (not including medical problems), never paid into federal, state or local taxes for a few years .. Other than being a US Citizen why should you be entitled to vote?

Putting nothing into the system, take only from the system, abuse the programs and have hindered the progress of someone else more worthy. This seems to be rewarding for bad behavior is that how the system should work?

Is the goal of government to be a giver provider of entitlements….. or an effective operational manager ?

We need to identify what government purpose and function is and get back to that base.

Blah blah blah...Belly and his imaginary world of poor minorities massively on the dole and have never put in a hard day's work in their life. When you include payroll taxes which you must work to pay, only 18% of Americans don't pay income or payroll taxes. And, most of those people are OLD WHITE PEOPLE WHO HAVE WORKED VERY HARD THEIR WHOLE LIVES

The m00cher theme has reached it's crescendo of ridiculousness.

I agree with you, belly. Why should you reap the benefits of a system in which you do not actively participate? Why should a student receive passing grades when he or she does not actively participate in the learning process?

I think what we really need to determine who can vote is a spelling test.

So those old white people have worked and paid into the system. No problem … But you did answer the question

If someone been on entitlement programs for more that three years plus (not including medical problems), never paid into federal, state or local taxes for a few years .. Other than being a US Citizen why should that someone be entitled to vote?

If it is to difficult for you to answer I think we all can understand the lack of commitment on your part to think and respond it in the DNA of entitlement recipients in general.

The comment of old white people is that to be racist comment? Once again playing the race card typical 101 Democrat Play Book, avoid the topic and create a diversion classic.

Just for clarification: I’m white, working owner, grew up poor, single parent home, live in the project (welfare housing), lived with in the welfare system, poorly high school educated, BGSU grad. and move on up
Note: I proud of my beginning and the lesson learned … seem that “imaginary world “ I’ve lived

What your stats BS: Sorry another difficult question?

I'm just messing with you a little bit Belly. Why should there be any requirements to vote beyond being a citizen?

Why? Because they are citizens. Everyone should have the same rights and freedoms. Pretty simple.

There should be no restrictions on voting other than what is already one the books. If you are 18, and a citizen, you can vote. Plain and simple.

1. In response to the bolded part:

A). For one, there is almost nobody who just lives on the dole their whole life or three years or more without contributing. "Welfare" was eliminated in the 90's. The exception would be people on Social Security Disability which would constitute a medical problem. A good example is a mentally handicapped person.

So, these people who you claim are on the dole without contributing don't exist by and large...and those that do (handicapped) meet your exception of a medical problem.

Either way, by virtue of their u.s. citizenship alone, people of a certain age are entitled to a vote and this is just because our citizenry has decided so and enshrined it in our Constitution.

2. The comment of Old White People was written because you always post that Malcolm X video to imply that there is a bunch of blacks dependent on the Democratic Party gravy train and they should follow Malcolm X's advice and repudiate the democratic party.

As a result, I made the comment about white old people because your characterization of the world is false.

3. Stats: I'm a member of the M00cher class who wants to keep the gubmint tit gravy train going because after all that is the only explanation for why I would vote for such an incompetent failure like Barack Obama.

Belly..."Moocher" as a child who lived on welfare having the taxpayer dollars of the producers redistributed to him. Good thing we have a strong social contract to support families like his when he was a kid because he grew up to be a faithful and willing servant to our nation in Armed Conflict, a graduate of a Socialist University supported by the dollars of others to using that human capital to go on to become an industrious producer creating economic growth. I'm surprised he didn't get lulled into dependency on the hammock of socialism.

Perfect! When will this Obama Administration start enforce the books rules?

PT1 Next time there a new hire, that comes in a sit on their ass and does nothing but takes ....provides less for you and limits your prosperity be more giving and supportive.

Obama has created a division between race and social economics in America rich, poor, black and white are worse off than ever is that role of the Leader of a Free America?

They do there chief. And sure, provide your small examples that do not really matter in the grand scheme of things.

The point is, what gives me, or you the right to deny someone the basic right to vote?
Who are we to say no to someone, regardless of class?
Whatever man, I'm nearly sick of this stuff.

Because it is the constitutionally protected right of every American citizen to be able to vote when they turn 18. Case closed.
