Luke did as well as anyone else could have done and Smith owed him. Yea, can't put it all on Fickell. The defense has underperformed at every level. Shazier is all over the field, but has the tendency not to wrap up, as does Bryant and Barnett. Curtis Grant just isn't performing at all. The d-line struggled until they finally got some pressure this week. The secondary is having too many blown assignments. That's the bigger question for me than even the LB & DB play. Everybody is all enamored with Simon's "guts & glory" speech but his on-field contribution has been far below his potential.
