Aaaand Brandon Phillips has now said that it was a "misunderstanding." He and Hughes spoke today and everything is A-okay now.

He said they spoke about what was said. He also said he realizes people say things in the heat of the moment. He certainly doesn't backtrack on his statement from last night.

I don't know, but you throw out some vague cry of racism....they talk and now it's all good just like that? Then it must've been nothing major to begin with and turns out it was a big overreaction on Phillips' part.

Absolutely. Phillips views on that word, growing up as a black man in the south, are a lot different than ours, growing up white men in the north.
