Manning had a terrible rookie season? He did have 28 picks, but also threw 26 td's and had about 3700 yards. He threw for 275+, 6 times.

For anyone in Cleveland that is interested, the Rizzo show starts tonight at 11 on Fox 8. He could be in meltdown mode after today.

Watched it in person....couple things

Vick is garbage...and no team can win a championship with him at the helm

Weeden had maybe the worst performance I have ever seen in an nfl game. He did not make one play.

Defense gave up a shitload of yards but they did enough to win the game.

Shurmur sucks.

Obviously not a good year, but not terrible. He showed glimpses of being a really good QB, throwing for 300+ in his first game. Weeden showed no competence whatsoever.

The posts were unapproved because of the sexual content in them. Remember, we are trying to get into Adsense's good graces. So sexually suggestive material is off-limits.

My post didn't though. And if I quoted him (can't remember) his bad language should have been censored? I didn't use any suggestive language

You quoted him. And I think you used the same phrase. But justin want's the posts physically deleted so adsense can't see them.

Honestly, rip Barkley all you want as I think USC in general is overrated. The problem was some of the "content."

I'm just getting back from the game... I haven't read the entire thread but I did go back a few pages...forgive me if I repeat.
While I do agree...no way McCoy loses that game today. You literally could not have played any worse than Weeden today, and they should have won.

I agree. You win that game with McCoy. You can say whatever you want about his arm strength, but McCoy spent most of the time being hit, knocked down and pressured. He had no running game and he had no recievers worth a damn.
Today I saw a QB miss wide open receivers several times...not even SEE wide open recievers because he was locked on his primary receiver...and throw into coverage when their were better targets open. More than that, it seemed to me he had a fair amount of time to throw. While the O- line was terrible in opening holes for running backs, they did a fair job keeping Weeden upright. Despite that, he failed to make plays and made bad decisions.
Some body else on here said, and I concur...that may have been the worst performance by a NFL QB that I have ever seen. QB rating of 5.1...5.1 for christsake!... a 51 would have been bad enough!
I'd be curious on how that stacks up all time...worse QB rating of a guy who played the whole game. I might try to google that.

Wouldn't a filter fix the problem? Deleting posts seems like it would be more subjective and take more time?

A filter would probably help, but sometimes they are just over inclusive. Such as it could filter out every time someone tried to talk about Dick Cheney in politics.

Deleting posts doesn't take too much time. Trying to go back and edit people's posts to make it kosher generally does take more time. The easiest solution is for people to discuss things without having to use sexually suggestive phrases such as the ones in question.

When under duress, Vick was 1 of 16 for 35 yards and an interception.

Brandon Weeden was 0 for 9 with three interceptions on throws of more than 10 yards downfield. Weeden is the third quarterback since the start of 2008 to attempt at least nine passes of this distance and not complete a single pass. The other two were J.P. Losman in Week 14 of 2008 and Brodie Croyle in Week 14 of 2010.

I liked how the defense played for the most part today...I mean heck it was like the same things from last year. Defense would make plays/get stops and then the O looks like crap. They did about everything the could to help the team get the W but the lack of offense today was just too much. Things can only get better for the offense, I'm hoping but the D did look solid w/o Phil Taylor and they rushed Vick pretty well. I can't remember who said it but I would think about just making D*** Jauron the new HC and get Shurmur the heck outta there. He's bad.

Garbage drove about 80 yards down the field when he had to for the win....takes a little away from how well the defense played.
