I saw that stat and wondered the same thing. I'd like to see the records when the B1G goes west/Pac-12 goes eastAzubuike24;1265100 wrote:How many were on the west coast? It's a different animal going across country versus going north/south.

Yes, that record is B1G@PAC-12 Schools.Terry_Tate;1265102 wrote:That is on the west coast. Not sure about overall. Other than the 2 USC games I know Ohio State has rocked the PAC 12 and Wisconsin and Michigan haven't done so well.
Besides losing to Oregon back in 2003, I can't remember Michigan losing @ a PAC-12 School. I'll do some research and get back to you.

Utah wasn't a bottom of the conference team. I think their over/under entering the season was set at 8 wins, and they were supposed to fight for 2nd in their division (behind USC obviously). They're screwed without Jordan Wynn though.Azubuike24;1265072 wrote:It's tough to tell. The Pac 12 could get some fine OOC wins today. However, the bottom of the Pac 12 is brutal.
Utah loses to Utah State
Washington gets crushed by LSU
Colorado loses to Sacramento State
California struggles with Southern Utah
Washington State struggles with Eastern Washington

No way does MSU lose a game this year in the Big 10

I was talking overall PAC-12, not at them. Losses to USC in Rose Bowl and home against Oregon in 2007 come to mind.

Michigan is 48-24-1 vs. current PAC-12 Schools
Of those, they are 9-11 vs. PAC-12 Schools in bowl games, and I think all but 1-2 of those games were Rose Bowls, so the majority of those are on the West Coast.
So in the regular season, Michigan is 39-13-1 vs. PAC-12. At home they are 30-6-1. Out west they are 9-7.
Which means the PAC-12 is 6-30-1 @ Michigan Stadium.
My guess is that the B1G struggles out west, and the PAC-12 struggles when they come to us.

I broke it down in my post above, but I was thinking regular season B1G@PAC-12. Granted, I just did Michigan, but I'd assume it was fairly similar to everyone in general. We dominate in the Midwest, and the PAC-12 dominates us out West.Terry_Tate;1265135 wrote:I was talking overall PAC-12, not at them. Does it bother any other Michigan fan that Rich Rod is having immediate success in Arizona?
I mean he beat Toledo and is putting it on Oklahoma State tonight. It probably wasn't as much of a change for Arizona as it was for Michigan, but he has almost as many wins in the 1st 2 weeks of the season as he had the entire first year at Michigan...

Am I dumb or am I missing something. This just doesn't make sense to me.
Also did you add in the Colorado win at Michigan?

What makes you think this? Was it barely beating a depleted mountain west team or them beating down a directional school? They will lose at least 1 B1G game.Classyposter58;1265129 wrote:No way does MSU lose a game this year in the Big 10

I didn't realize John L. Smith was Arkansas' coach. That explains the loss entirely. He apparently is carrying on that losers mentality from MSU.
Also, this past weekend made clear why I think rooting for a conference is dumb. I could give two shits that Wisky embarassed themselves or Iowa stunk. I have one team I support and that is Ohio State. I really don't care what the rest of the conference does. I'll never understand that whole mentality.

I have to agree, with my exception being Nebraska--I've always liked them, so I'll pull for them every time, unless they're playing OSU.Fly4Fun;1265180 wrote:Also, this past weekend made clear why I think rooting for a conference is dumb. I'm still not ready to give USC credit. They looked good against a mediocre Hawaii. They looked terrible at a terrible Syracuse.
I think USC will drop 1-2 games they shouldn't this year.

You're not dumb, that was a typo on my part. It's 6-30-1/30-6-1.Tiger2003;1265156 wrote:Am I dumb or am I missing something. This just doesn't make sense to me.

Yes, I did. I added the W/Ls vs. Colorado and Utah since they're current members. Michigan is 4-1 vs. CU; going 1-0 @Colorado and 3-1 vs.
They're 1-1 vs. Utah (both at the Big House). Both records are in what I posted.

I'm indifferent. If they win, it's good for the B1G, but I did a point and laugh at Wisky and Iowa yesterday. It's just hard to cheer for someone that you yourself are trying to beat ya know?vball10set;1265190 wrote:I have to agree, with my exception being Nebraska--I've always liked them, so I'll pull for them every time, unless they're playing OSU.

Interested in the takes on Arizona smacking Oklahoma State around 59-38. This score really surprised me...
Outside of Washington, and Colorado and Utah (both awful), the Pac 12 looked really strong yesterday.

Like I said before. Where was this type of Rich Rod's offense in his first year at Michigan?
Cal kind of looked bad though too, even in their win.

Definitely, I was ragging on them earlier in the thread. They are at the bottom, along with Wazzou, even though both won their game yesterday.
Still. Oregon, USC, UCLA, Stanford, the Arizona's and even Oregon State (although their first game). The top half appears to definitely be above the Big XII.

UCLA
Oregon State
Arizona State
They're probably above the B1G as well.

Yeah, the Pac-12 is def. the 2nd best conference this year. I mentioned it last year. It is just you never get to watch them.Azubuike24;1265292 wrote:Definitely, I was ragging on them earlier in the thread. They are at the bottom, along with Wazzou, even though both won their game yesterday.
