I'll just post along with you SBC guys! :)

Sandusky wins against a tough Lorain Southview squad, 83-79.

Streaks JV won by a score in the neighborhood 85-40.

I swear, this JV team is TALENTED. Not that the varsity team isn't, because it is, but the JV is unreal.

Big games next week as the Streak battle conference foe Napoleon @ the Big House on Friday, then make the visit to Perkins for another hometown showdown on Saturday!

Huron basketball showing some signs of life once again..a GREAT crowd at the jungle for this river road bowl matchup.. Emody was tough inside, but i think the Chargers got to meet Derek Dowell on the bball court.. a physical tough player for the tigers who scored a bunch late in the contest when it was needed most...

Sandusky 80
Perkins 68

Great game, much closer than it looks with many lead changes throughout. Sandusky handled the pressure better at the end and hit their free throws. Sandusky was 18-20 from the foul line and Perkins was 8-17. Courtney Strickland and Jarrod Williams were a two man wrecking crew both scoring over 20 points. I thought Perkins did very good until Michael Ebert got his fourth foul early in the 4th and had to sit and Sandusky attacked the basket with him out. He came back in with 4 minutes to go and immediately fouled out. A fun game to watch and well done by both teams in front of a packed house.

Huron falls to Vermilion 58-53. Huron was down by 10 with a couple minutes to go and got within 3 at the end but they just couldnt hit their free throws in the 4th. Vermilion played tough even when they had their best players on the bench. I hope to see a better outing for Huron against St Marys next saturday as it was just a sloppy game from both teams.

Huron big men have to finish at the rim or pack it in for the season...Poorman and Bowers miss lay-up upon lay-up. If they can finish, Huron can compete well. Volz got going tonight and Dowell had another nice game. Tigers need some more depth to help Ramey and Hicks. Vermilion played hard and scrapped all night long. I think Huron will handle SMCC next week.

Yes, it was a GREAT game and even better atmosphere...

Sandusky finally figured out that Perkins wasn't on their level in the 4th quarter, but it made for an amazing 3 1/2 quarters.

I agree tink. Were you at the game Sat night? It was like watching Varsity vs. Freshman. Embarassing...

BTW...I recind my previous prediction of how OH is going to finish. The basement is about right...

I was at the tuesday and saturday night game's thunder and those will be the last two Oak Harbor games I go to see this year. Port Clinton could have put 100 on the board if they felt like doing it and truthfully I wish they would have. When your as bad as Oak Harbor has been for this long you dont deserve any mercy imo.

Not sure I agree with that. Same could be said of PC football for the past 25 years but I know we never set out to embarrass you guys when we very well could have.

Truthfully a series of gigantic blowout's would have been helpfull to Port Clinton in bringing about rock bottom quicker. Not that they weren't blown out enough though.

The Oak Harbor program is at a cross road's right now between getting it right and becoming like Port Clinton football has been for so long.

OH basketball won't be down for nearly that long. The freshman, 8th and 7th graders all have solid programs. It took a hit when Oates and Walsh completly neglected the biddy and junior high programs.

Walsh restarted the biddy program and did alot to rectify the problems at the jr high level...... dont blame it on him.

Unless they are hiding some bigmen somewhere I just dont see any real improvement coming for Oak Harbor aside from maybe getting to .500. You arn't going to win in this league without some size, it doesnt have to be 7 footer's but a look at the program shows post's on the jv level at 5'11 and 6'0 and thats just not going to cut it.

For the record, I was watching my brother's 8th grade team vs. Edison and I'm pretty sure they have a 6'4 center...in 8th grade...

Actually he's 6'5" Thunder and dunks with ease.Still very raw but has unlimited potential.

6'5 8th grader that can dunk? What is this Justin Horne reincarnated?

You still need more size than just one guy and from what I've seen from the jv squad this year i'm just not seeing it? Maybe it's just me?

He could've been 7'9 and it wounldn't have made any difference. When he was in, he completely dominated. Edison's coach didn't play him much in the 2nd half but then again, he really didn't have to. They had a couple of really good players on that Edison team...
