Preseason pick's anyone?
1. Edison
2. Port Clinton
3. Margaretta
4. Clyde
5. Perkins
6. Huron
7. St.Mary's
8. Oak Harbor
Port Clinton has the talent to run away with this league but i'm taking a firm stance of they need to proove they can do it. I have the utmost respect for coach roth and think he will have Margaretta fighting for the top. Clyde has the pieces to be pretty good but guard play will make or break them. Juho and Alex are two huge losses for the fliers.

I honestly think OH is going to surpise some people this year. I don't see them as the basement dwellers again...

Thunder
It wouldnt surprise me if they escape the cellar but I want to see them be able to get the ball past half court against any kind of pressure before I make that leap of faith. The talent is their for Oak Harbor to improve but I guess being that damn bad for this long makes me skeptical? I guess my other question is do the kid's believe in themselves and what they are doing? It was pretty obvious last year that the kid's were not confident in what they were doing and what coach christie was trying to do.
In other new's I cannot wait to hear the Port Clinton kid's chant " LETS PLAY FOOTBALL" when they play Oak Harbor

My Blue Streaks clown stomped Margaretta 71-34 yesterday. Good scrimmage for a good cause though.

the coaches pick Huron 2nd but Tinker picks them 6th, no surprise there. I was a little shocked that they were picked 2nd but they do return a lot of experience and talent and the addition of Dowell will be a solid addition for the team but they just have to go out and prove their potential.

Uh where is all this talent and potential Huron has because I sure didnt see it last year on the court. All I saw last year was a team that truthfully wasnt that much better than Oak Harbor.Tigerfan00 wrote: the coaches pick Huron 2nd but Tinker picks them 6th, no surprise there. Dowell carried the football team though so perhaps he'll carry the basketball team.

Tink. Pigs flew in October so we might as well take our licks in December/January too.

The Chargers will have a good test tonight against Sandusky in a 2 quarter scrimmage at the Blue Streak showcase tonight.

Well, the Chargers passed their test tonight as Taylor Emody hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to beat the Streaks 33-31.

Yeah, I wish that was a real game. 2 quarters of great basketball.. However, I was disappointed with Sandusky. A lot of talent and they should be the best team by far in this area, and while it was just a scrimmage (and our players treated it as such) they should have given a better effort.
I didn't like seeing the fact that Keller pulled all of the starters and let the reserves play a chunk of that scrimmage, but he was not happy with their effort.
Edison has a solid team, I think they'll definitely win the SBC from what I saw.
I don't think they're as good as Sandusky, but as they showed tonight, they are pretty damn good.
Sandusky's JV came out and played though. Destroyed Perkins by something like 39-18 in 2 quarters? I really like the depth this program is starting to get, throughout all levels of basketball.
Sorry for the Sandusky talk, but not much GBC action going on in this forum
Hope you guys don't mind!

The best talent doesn't always translate to the best team...Just ask P.C.

Well obviously, however, Sandusky will indeed have the best team in this area..BluebyU wrote: The best talent doesn't always translate to the best team...Just ask P.C.
It was a 2 quarter scrimmage in which Sandusky hardly played starters.
Again though, I was impressed with Edison. I originally picked PC to win the SBC, but now I'm changing my mind to Edison.
Are you from/live in Edison by chance?
