gosh a ruddies why don't they like the republicans, let me count the ways, they are innumberable, a few examples
Claim the first black president was not born in America, oppose the dream act, oppose federal student loans, oppose, oppose abortion in incidents of rape and incest. Then support voter id that makes it harder for blacks, hispanics and students to vote.

yeah, maybe it was a dick thing to say. Mea culpa.

On the other hand, Clint is 86 and did not use a teleprompter. Ever try giving a 15 minute speech and not stutter and search for words? This country elected the greatest teleprompter-reader of all time and look where we are today. Clint may be elderly and devoid of written text, but his ideas and statements were spot fucking on.

I wonder what Sid the kid will talk like when he's 86...if his jello-damaged noggin will even allow him to live to that long?

What's weird is Clint holds some views that are demonized within the currently hijacked Republican party (gays are evil, etc).

Since I haven't been in this thread, do you guys who love anyone who identifies with the GOP have any problems with the amount of factual inaccuracies that Paul Ryan's speech had?

Couple times actually, as I have no problem giving a speech with just an outline.

Yes, go ahead and make fun of those (like myself) that have sustained a TMBI. So funny.

I never realized just how much of a stuck up prick Mitt Romney really is till tonight......

Has offered ONE single positive thing he will do as President....all he has done is TRY to tear down the President.

This isn't a stump Mitt....this speech is about what YOU will do

That's what I got out of it, if we have another 4 years of an Obama mess we'll have Rubio or Ryan in '16.

BTW I loved Clint, the guy is old (and retired from performing) and ad-libbed the entire speech, what did people expect? He hit the right notes even if he wasn't able to do it in a perfect manner. He's still better than Joe Biden.

The Eastwood "speech" was actually really difficult to watch. I can't tell if he just didn't put much effort into it, or if he's really starting to lose it. The latter would explain the J.Edgar debacle, and the reality show embarrassment I guess.

"What's weird is Clint holds some views that are demonized within the currently hijacked Republican party (gays are evil, etc). "

do you really believe that? I don't think gays are evil (as I've noted here before my father in law is gay), heck they can do in the bedroom what they want. If they want special rights being gay, that's when I have a problem with it. Having gay sex is an action, it doesn't give you the right to affirmative action, diversity privileges and other special interests as a protected class. Where do you even get this information? Have the donks been hijacked by idiocy and false information? Seems like it.

Gays are evil was an exaggeration of "gays shouldn't be allowed to marry, adopt, have hospital visitation privileges, etc". Gay people don't want special rights, they want the same rights you have.

Also I should make it clear that I mean that Clint doesn't think gays are evil and thinks they should be allowed to get married.

Never new the bolded.

I couldn't stomach more than a minute of it, but I'm sure I can sum up the major issues pretty well. I'll break it down this way:

Truth:
Wants war with Iran
Obama is a failure

Lies:
Will cut spending
Will decrease the debt
Will cut taxes
Will repeal Obamacare
We will be more secure by increasing our military adventures
His government will create jobs.
Protectionist tariffs will create jobs

Now I'll sum up Obama's speech next week.

Truth:
Wants to raise taxes
Romney would be a failure

Lies:
Doesn't want war with Iran
Will cut spending
Will decrease the debt
We will be more secure by increasing our military adventures
His government will create jobs.
Protectionist tariffs will create jobs

How lucky are we that our rulers allowed us to have such a contrasting choice for our next Dear Leader?

In addition to supporting gay marriage, I believe Eastwood is also pro-choice, believes the United States should remove overseas troops, and pro-environment/alternative energy/etc.

Reminds me of Romney before he changed everything he ever believed in socially ;)
