The middle class has not suffered since the Great Depression like it has under Obama.
That was more about Romney introducing himself and offering a vision. Little value, at this point, in being more specific and giving the Obama policy wonks and the liberal media carte blanche to pick it apart unopposed. Hit it during the debates where an unprepared Obama doesn't have the fiscal/economic insight to respond effectively on the fly.
And I take back what I've said about Obama being a failure. If what you want is persistent anemic economic growth and high unemployment and big deficits, like Europe, then in that regard he's an absolute success. And that's the Obama many of us expected in 2008. Perhaps the disconnect is that people hoped we could have European style socialism without the negative drags on the economy from European style taxes and regulations. And the scary part is that the growth killing taxes and regulation have't really kicked in yet - something to look "forward" to in a second term.
