FYI/FWIW: Ohio law states that the homeowner can not go after a golfer that accidently damages property with a golf ball. It was his risk building/buying a house on a course.

That would not qualify as an accident.

I'll have to check on that one, have not run across that circumstance.

Their is a course down here in Cincinnati that is Par 4 with homes along the left side of the fairway about 25 yards off the first cut of rough. They have a sign that warns golfers they are responsible to damage done to homes. Wonder why/how that is?

Is the sign on the golf course or on the house property?

I am guessing property owners trying to protect their houses from damages.

I don't believe that is true. If you have some case law to back it up, I'd like to read it.

I know that a golfer is not liable for personal injuries caused by a struck golf ball on a golf course as long as it wasn't done intentionally or with reckless disregard. In other words, if you shank one onto another fairway and hit another golfer, you will not be liable for his injuries. However, lets say someone in front of you is playing slow and you hit one into them, causing an injury, you would be liable.
