Should be a battle up in courtland, not sure what team really has the edge here, the cats always play bad in lakeview. What do you think?

Lakeview has a nice test coming up tonight at Madison. The Streaks had their way last year, wasn't even close. I'm sure we'll have a few coaches up to Madison tonight.

Cortland has not been good to the Wildcats; almost jinxed. Maybe this is the year we break it. Hopefully.

The defense played fairly well against Memorial. We'll need an even better performance to beat Lakeview.

Go Wildcats. Beat the Bulldogs!!!

Need to be more consistent against lakeview and never let up like we did against campbell. Intensity for all 4 quarters and get stewart and Kimbrough into space and the cats should have a chance. Not sure on how madison is supposed to be this season so i cant go by that game.

Well, since Auto Correct only corrects to words that are real or words that you've typed in the past, you must have been wrong in the past. I don't mind, it just looks bad on your school.

How does it look bad on the school? The paper, myvalleysports, half of the entire area considers it lakeview, and if you want to be really technical most call it Cortland Lakeview. Troll

I'm not saying it makes Lakeview look bad. I'm saying that Struthers looks bad because of this guy.

It has nothing to do with the game idk why you even had to have that type of input correcting grammar on a high school football forum.

You have nothing to do with this forum lol. If correcting my grammar on a high school football forum makes you feel better about your life by all means continue to do so. I just feel really bad for you and people like you.

21 might be a stretch. It still is lakeview after all. Having a hard time seeing the cats win by a lot.

spread your selling struthers short. much improved and im sure they didnt even have to show everything against campbell. dont forget lakeview went like 3-17 passing the ball, madison is a very young team. niles handled lakeview in a scrimmage. i read over on the huddle some lakeview guys selling kimbrough short, well i think theyre in for a rude awakening.

Let's hope we get out of cortland with a W, Kuntz knows what he is doing, Kimbrough will do fine against the dogs I have trouble believing try an stop him, let alone stop Stewart, but being able to stop Lakeview will be the key

Hopefully so. Kimborough *sp is a very good athlete.. We'll see.. I'm giving the cats the edge here, but maybe by like 6. Lakeview has IMO the best coach in trumbull county

You and me both, brother! Although, I do think that Struthers by 21 might be a bit of a stretch.

No doubt, Struthers left a lot in the bag against Campbell. Wikowski starting the game at RB. Lariccia and Moore getting significant PT at FB and RB respectively, in the 2nd half. Staying in the I for most of the night, without much Spread or Wildcat. Kimbrough really only getting one target, a 53 yard TD on a bubble pass. Kimbrough didn't line up at RB either.

They did run a lot of what will be their bread and butter this year, and that's a lot of power with Stewart from the I.

One thing that the coaches need to hammer home with these kids, and I don't doubt that they already have, is that they can't let up if they get a decent lead. If they think for one second that Lakeview, Brookfield, Poland, Canfield, Niles, Howland, etc, will ever throw in the towel in the 3rd quarter, they're sadly sadly mistaken. It's a 4 quarter game, and there's still a lot to learn from and improve upon from the Campbell game.

I do think Lakeview may be playing into Struthers's hands, if they're thinking about running the ball 50+ times like they did against Madison. Still, the rushing numbers are a little alarming. Mannella had 20+ carries for over 200 yards, and Henderson carried 9 times for 100+ yards. If Campbell's speedy running backs couldn't get around the corner on the D, I have a hard time believing that those Jet Sweeps will work. They are a staple of Lakeview's offense though, so they're going to run them. The D just needs to be ready, and finish their tackles.

Schmidt completed like 5 of 15 or 5 of 20, or something like that. All 5 passes went to Henderson, but he only had 21 yards receiving. Something tells me that they're still going to try to take some shots deep, especially when Struthers is in that Cover 1 with Donadio as the single high safety. Coach Hoelzel will need to figure out a way to disguise the coverage. Getting pressure and sacks on Schmidt will go a long way towards the Cats getting the win. I doubt Schmidt has the escapability that Reyes has, or the arm for that matter, but I have to think that his linemen won't be as fatigued either.

There are four keys to this one. If Struthers wins the field position battle, and if the defense can keep their offense in check (more specifically, their running game), and Stewart and Kimbrough get around 40-45 touches between them, and Muntean doesn't throw any picks, I really like Struthers's chances. All are reasonable to expect.

I would go as far as to say for this game switch Donnadio and Kimbrough, so he can basically spy Henderson as much as possible, and eliminate big plays for 6.

My 4 keys

1.Make someone other then Henderson beat you.
2.Pressure the QB as much as possible without losing contain.
3.Get Kimbrough and Stewart into space.
4.Give Muntean time to throw "fandozzi can be key in this game"
