Denard is hell bent on playing qb and could very well leave Michigan if he isnt at QB. Getting his buddy Whitty to campus will help greatly but dont be too horribly surprised that if down the road Shoelace transfer's unless he accepts the inevitable (unlike brandon smith)

He would have to realize it by now hell wasn't UM one of very few schools to even offer him as a QB. Come on he had 2tds and 5ints(I think) and the TD's were against Deleware St.

Honestly, I didn't think Forcier played THAT badly. It wasn't his fault UM had basically no defense for most of the season. Have UM fans come to the conclusion that they have to score 50 points or more every game to win because RR can't put together 11 guys to consistently stop the other team?
Not Forcier's fault he completed 58% of his passes with 13 TD's and 10 INT's?

Forcier found some magic in come from behind wins against Indiana and ND. No magic in any of the other Big Ten games.

I don't see Gardener getting a red shirt. Robinson is most likely going to move to the slot and DG is going to have to be second string IMO. There is another QB coming in as well which tells me Robinson is going to need to move to WR to ever see the field. The kid is not a QB but is crazy fast. He will be an impact player but not at QB. There is no backup so I would be shocked to see gardener get a red shirt. Who is going to be the backup then? The 3 star qb? I don't think so.

Assuming Forcier actually goes to class and stops being a douche around campus and the like, i would imagine he'll be the starter.

One thing is for certain with reguards to Tate. The sooner the kid gets his attitude under control the better off he is going to be. I think having Gardner breathing down his neck is going to help Tate get his attitude in check.

Is there reports that his attitude is poor? Also his academics are poor? Is there a source for these rumors?

Attitude is poor but as far as I know his academic's are okay. He did get in trouble earlier this year for not going to class but as far as I know that was fixed.

Forcier gets the start and hopefully he gets the job done enough to keep gardner on the bench so he has time to grasp the difference of college football and learn the system before he gets his chance.I have seen him play 5 times the last 2 years and he is the future of michigan and one hell of a quarterback but you hope they don't ruin him by tossing him out there before he is ready, like ohio state did with pryor.

I will say this much about the debate.

If Tate doesnt clean up the stupid mistake's, I have zero problem taking a decrease in the passing game that comes along with Denard. Denard's turnover problems are mostly easily correctable but i'm concerned that Tate's are going to a long term problem.

Why are Denard's easily fixable while Tate's aren't?

Honest question for real.

I'm not so sure Tate is that coachable. You didn't notice RichRod's expressions and reactions? Like Forcier had already been instructed 1000's of times what not to do. His dad did send him to the Marinivich family to be tutored in the finer arts of quarterbacking when in high school.

It's got to be Forcier, I'd be surprised if he doesn't improve a great deal with another spring, and he had a solid year as it was for a true freshman. Plus, I'd think RRod would want a year of separation between Tate and Gardner, so DG will probably redshirt.
That is, unless RRod truly believes he has to win next season, in which case he may get Gardner on the field ASAP.
