Where at? No way Dusty gives him the majority of starts over Rolen.

I said from the beginning we gave up too much for Broxton. Seems that is proving true.

Will the Reds 4th pitcher of the game have any success holding the lead? The first 3 have combined to lose two leads, 3 runs worth with about a run of blame for each pitcher.

None of the first 3 were named Aroldis Chapman.

Cozart, Bailey and Stubbs have all contributed tonight. Good to see, because for this team to go anywhere, these guys play critical roles. Especially Bailey, because Arroyo and Leake are really shaky.

Time for Chapman to close it out.

Great athletic play by Aroldis to knock down the tying run at 2nd!

Giving him a second strike....IMO Rollins has to stay put on 2nd. Chase gave that pitch up but it was hittable.

Good observation. I disagree with that approach as well. Obviously they were hoping Chapman may throw a wild pitch so they took 3rd with Rollins. However, you don't get much to hit against Chapman, usually one pitch per at-bat. With 2 strikes, the odds of getting a hit off him are very low, especially as a lefty and fear of the slider.

Rollins scores from 2nd on a hit anyway...

I'd much rather have 1 strike and Rollins tipping pitches than 2 strikes and merciless.

Pirates lose in SD 7-5 on an extra inning walk-off HR by Headley. Reds top the NLC by 7.5 games?

I dont think it was a bad move for him to steal 3rd. I doubt the batter had the take for that pitch as you usually take a pitch if there is no strikes and they steal, but with one strike it is up the hitter.

WIth the runner on 3rd in a one run game the chances of Chapman throwing a FB is 100%.W/O a runner at third in a one run game the chance of him throwing a FB is probably 95%! Not that it helps a whole lot when he throws it 102 on the inside part of the plate!

I just think they realized that Chapman and the MiINF werent doing anything to hold him to second and decided to take it. He probably gets into a pretty good rhythm, and may be a "one-looker" to a guy at second and you can get a monster jump.

In two games so far in Philly, the Reds have lost 4 leads, two in each game. I think they are very fortunate to have won one of the games.

Dont forget that the Philly players are paid professionals too.
We would always like to see the reds win each game, and the pitchers always do their part, but damn, this happens at times. Reds have a terrible record in their new stadium in philly, mostly because they have been very good and you still see flashes of it from the Phils. Just so happens that last night the BP gave up a lead, it happens.

Important that they battled neck and neck and pulled it out!

and about Frazier vs Rolen......I know DB favors the vets and such, but man there isnt a way to justify playing Rolen over roy., unless from the time now till Joe comes back he slumps massively and Rolen is on fire.

I dont think even dusty would play Rolen over Frazier if he keeps this up...can he?

You wouldn't think, but Rolen is hitting .300+ since the ASB, I believe. That could give Dusty the justification he wants for playing Rolen much more than he should.

My prediction when Votto comes back:

Votto 1B 8/10
Frazier 1B 2/10
Frazier 3B 4/10
Rolen 3B 6/10
