This is why I hate the early recruiting. Hard to get a good feel for kids that have only played 2 years of HS. Seems all the "experts" agree he'll be a 4* LB when it's all said and done. That is why I'm surprised they would not look at him and have "bigger fish" to fry. But a lot could change in 2 years.

And as already stated, OSU is after some bigger fish at the LB position in 2014. Wouldn't be surprised if they get the three mentioned by OB.

I'm not sure what you're implying here. My statement was pretty simple - OSU is after some elite prospects at the LB position in '14. They particularly stand very good with the three mentioned by OB. In fact, I would bet Dante Booker is the first verbal in the 2014 class.

Ferns is a good prospect, no doubt. But as I said, he expressly eliminated OSU after visiting because of the feel of a big city. That's fine. OSU took 5 LBs in '12 and will probably take 3 in '13. They can afford to be picky with their '14 LB recruits, and frankly, they will have to because of the scholarship restrictions. I think they would be pleased with two elite LBs in the '14 class.
