You seem to know a lot about perverts...

Tressels' coverup did not provide improper benefits, so with your argument, they had no grounds to punish.

gosh the president of the university accepts the sanctions, the large majority of the trustees accept the sanctions. they realize their institution is responsible for covering up these horrendous crimes
I think that is in an inaccurate way of portraying the feelings of the President and the trustees....it appears that they were coerced into accepting the sanctions lest they lose the football program entirely.

gosh lets see, there is an enormous scandal involving despicable crimes involving the leaders of the university, athletic department and football programs. The university trustees have a thorough investigation done by an independent group of legal and law enforcement professionals lead by a former director of the FBI. The investigation shows an enormous coverup by the above listed leaders. The trustees and new president accept the findings of the investigation. The ncaa uses the university's own investigtion as the basis for determining instituional punishment for the obvious failure of psu. When the university's new president and trustess receives it very lenient slap on the wrist, they readily accept it

Because it gave the players a competitive advantage by not having to sit out multiple games for rules violations.

The team was punished separately for that. The cover up was treated as a different case.

It is my opinion that PSU had a recruiting advantage by not reporting the wrongdoings of Sandusky.

And, back to my original question, it is still the action of 1 man. Why should everyone else suffer?

Is Ohio State suffering? News to me, we got the best coach in the game and one of the best recruiting classes in the nation. If anyone's suffering, it's Michigan. Enjoy 7 straight losses.

Tressel violated a reporting agreement/rule.

Right. So it goes beyond a direct improper benefit. Which is what you (or sleeper, I don't remember which) was using as an argument.

I see. So that 6-7 season didn't happen. And neither is this year's post season ban.

6-7 happens when you play in the best conference in the country and you lose the vast majority of your upperclassman and have to play with a green QB all season long. The bowl ban doesn't bother me, we will beat Michigan and you can take that to the bank.

How does it futility feel? Knowing that you have your best team in decades and they still will get the wood handed to them in November. Good game, sir, good game.

Heard today that another charge may be pending against Sandusky. Uncovered during an investigation by the USPS, that he may have molested kids on a private plane owned by a donor to his charity. Also, PSU has been put on alert by one of the Accreditation bodies.
