Can we get the #1 pick at this rate? I say we go that route. Worked well for Nats and Rays recently. Just gotta suck for 2-3 years...I have faith!!!

Aside from the stuff that everyone outside of the front office was saying as it happened? Or are they still not to that point of realization yet.

Honestly, that's fucking arrogance. They re-signed Carmona coming off of multiple awful seasons with 1 good year in his career. They re-signed Sizemore who hasn't been healthy in years. They signed geriatric Derek Lowe coming off of an awful year. They signed a defensive 1st baseman with no pop. They completely ignored bringing in any power or any right handed sticks, they've drained the minor league system so we have nobody who could have come up and helped if all of the hope-and-prayer signings blew up, and they're in the process of evaluating what went wrong?

Turn off the fucking computers and use your eyes for once when evaluating players. That is what has gone wrong. Way too much advanced metrics shit, and not enough "does this guy look like he can play" going on.

Someone should really consider forwarding him a link to our pre-season thread in which know nothing message board types were able to identify that this team was not adequate offensively heading into the season.

What exactly is there to evaluate? How they chose to pretend they know better than everyone in the city and around baseball who were all telling them they couldn't hit and had no power? Shocking.

I listened to Acta's post game for a few minutes. He has "never seen anything like this" and was glad that Tomlin was able to give the bull pen some relief.
