I've found that people that say "blow me" are usually pretty serious because it's not something that often happens to them...

No, thank you--you may want to hit up the local gay bar. Run in there and yell that and your dreams will come true in a matter of minutes.

you still can be charged even below .08. if you know when you can and cant drive, what is there to be nervous about?derek bomar wrote: and I was borderline...but on the right side of the border...the limit isn't .07... it's .08 - I know when to not drive and when I can, trust me. because while I know when I can and can't drive, I don't exactly know what .08 feels like with enough certainty to be totally unconcerned about being over it while being put through the motions by a lady cop at 2:30 in the amGlory Days wrote:you still can be charged even below .08. if you know when you can and cant drive, what is there to be nervous about?derek bomar wrote: and I was borderline...but on the right side of the border...the limit isn't .07... it's .08 - I know when to not drive and when I can, trust me. to help you out next time, have a sober friend look at your eyes. if your eyes are twitching or shaking, dont risk driving. thats the best giveaway to see if someone is drunk, the eyes dont lie.

So was this before or after you beat your wife?

^Neither. It was before I cut my dogs eye balls out with a spoon and after I scavenged the neighborhood asking kids if they wanted any candy.

Did they give you a reason for pulling you over or do they even have to?

Well they need a reason to pull you over and most will tell you why they did and if you have a reason for what you did. but i dont think they are required to right there on the spot.

Back to the original post...I know how nerve-racking that is derek.
I was going to meet a buddy at the bar one night and got pulled over for having a headlight out. The cop made me do the sobriety tests because it was a zero tolerance weekend and the DUI Taskforce was out in full effect. He did the eye test, I had to walk a straight line, and stand on one foot and I was so nervous that I failed all the tests miserably! The cop kept pressuring me because he had asked me how much I drank and I told him that I hadn't had anything yet. But he was convinced I was lying based on how shitty I did on all the tests. So he asks to do a breathalyzer and I agree. The cop was pissed when it came up 0.0. I told him I wasn't lying and I was just nervous, and he let me go.
You're right man. It's a very nerve-racking experience when you have to go through a Sobriety Test...especially when you're not drunk.

the reason I was pulled over was for going 45 in a 35...didn't give me a ticket though, which was surprising.

Really interesting argument, and it seems pretty valid.bigmanbt wrote: Not sure this is the place for it but this is a good article on why drunk drivers shouldn't necessarily be treated like criminals. It's a good article.

It's "than" in this instance, not "then." Sorry, I had to do it.
