apparently not - prolly had 8-10 beers over the course of 5 hours. Mix dinner in with it and the fact I'm 6'2 235 and I wasn't really drunk at all.
I'd say you got lucky.

Go to the Approximate Blood Alcohol Percentage (US) table and run the numbers.

no...had to stand on one foot for a minute, had to walk 9 steps and count out loud then turn back around, and had to follow the light without moving my head. I did pretty well so no need for the b-lizer
You got lucky, sometimes it doesn't matter how well you do on those test they will still make you take the b-lizer. It just depends on how well he likes you and if he is in a good mood.

not being drunk and driving? Why wouldn't I be proud? I'm not gloating over a DUI I escaped...I wasn't drunk. Was just nerve-racking...you douche

Depends whether you had 8 or 10 beers. Either way you were very close.

You were fine. People over-estimate how fast your BAC rises. If you drink on a weekly basis you can have a lot more to drink and still be fine to be under the limit.

BTW, for future reference NEVER take field sobriety tests unless your POSITIVE you will pass them. If you have had anything at all to drink and fail a field test your fucked. They can get your for DUI easy, even for failing when you were sober. It sucks cause it means you have to be taken to the station, but you should refuse to do anything til your back at the station and have made a call/had a chance to get a hold of your lawyer.

actually, the cop asked me how many I had drank, and I straight up told her "you probably here between 2-3 from most people, but I had more like 7 or 8. I've been out for 5 hours and I ate dinner and I'm a big guy."

By the way... for anyone out there. When a cop asks you how many bears you have had. If you're going to answer... don't give him an estimate. Say a specific number. If you give him a range that's more reason for him to give you a breathalyzer and run you through the whole series of tests.

To all the haters on here:

If you don't agree with what Derek Bomar is saying who gives a shit. Why does every damn thread on this site have to turn into someone bitching about somebody else's opinion?

Not sure this is the place for it but this is a good article on why drunk drivers shouldn't necessarily be treated like criminals. It's a good article.

In dereks defense, I've seen him drink. And he usually has 5-6 beers with his cereal, so 10 beers over the course of 5 hours is pretty minimal.

I just want the police camera footage of him standing on one foot for a minute, because I don't believe it.
