Shin or I guess you can say "high ankle" area.

I had shin pain for a week or so, about three inches above the ankle.
Ignored the shin pain, figured it was just because winter and cold. Was out on a run and after a step I just felt my calf muscle and what seemed like all the tendons surrounding the shin area tightened up, as if trying to protect the fracture.
A dull throbbing ache with a slight limp lasted for a month or so.

The Beast is a good shoe but has what's called a "straight last" bottom. Your foot does not move at all.
I went with a curved or semi-curved stability shoe and now no shin problems.....knock on wood.
