Well, what a nice series win that was against the Tigers. It was a real shot in the arm for the Tribe.
Off now to Minnesota for a 3 game series. Tonight's game has an 8:10 start, with tomorrow's game beginning at 7:10 and Sunday's starting at 2:10.
Let's keep this ball rolling!

WOuld liek to sweep Minny with the momentum we have, and cause they are not good.

Only 3-2 vs the Twins this year and facing a lefty tonight. Plus the Twins relievers had held the Indians scoreless for 15 consecutive innings.Laley23;1235276 wrote:WOuld liek to sweep Minny with the momentum we have, and cause they are not good.

Yeah, I know. We have sucked so far. But they are still not good, and I would love a sweep. Lefty on the mound is tough, but we are REALLY good in the first game of a series.Glory Days;1235320 wrote:Only 3-2 vs the Twins this year and facing a lefty tonight. Seems like a series where they will obviously let us down after peaking our interest again.....

Word is that the ChiSox are "all in" in their attempt to land Zach Greinke.
No doubt this is in response to us going 'all in ' in securing the services of Lillibridge:rolleyes:
I'm still trying to figure out why...with the trade deadline approaching....we are concerned with replacing an outfielder batting .182 with an outfielder batting .165????
Can anyone explain this?...anybody?

Speaking of momentum, tribe is within 175 avg fans of climbing out of the attendance basement.
Remaining weekend series with Boston, NY, Texas, and Detroit should draw well. Need to average 26743 the rest of the way to outdraw last year.

That's probably do-able if they stay in the race.
We need a right handed hitter. We have needed one since last fall. We did not address the need in the winter. We did not address the need in spring training. 100 games into the season and we still have not addressed it. 4 days left before the trading deadline. I'm not getting my hopes up.

Lillebridge will shock the world. What I don't get is that we have 3 300 hitters that play left field....in Columbus....one guy hitting 385. Doesn't that warrant a call up?HitsRus;1235504 wrote:That's probably do-able if they stay in the race.

^^^I am in complete agreement....and that doesn't include Cansler or LaPorta. With some of those guys it probably is a matter of 'roster management'/service time and losing the ability to control a player a year. However, it didn't seem to be an issue in bringing up Cody Allen with a bullet.
Absolutely no excuse for not having LaPorta up here...LAST MONTH. If LaPorta showed he could hit up here, we wouldn't even be worried about a right hand stick at the trading deadline. I guess when I say 'we', I mean, the fans. Antonetti doesn't seem to be worried about anything except not to overpay any of Dolan's money for anything.

Tomlin has been garbage since May last year. Choosing Scott Radinsky as pitching coach is proving to be a shrewd move.
