The NFHS sends this out to coaches and referees every year...this is suggestions for 2010.

1. Double fouls when the ball is dead would offset as opposed to separate and in order.

2. Changing the definition of a chop block to eliminate the requirement that the low block be delayed to be illegal.

3. Changing the definition of a chop block to only restrict the high/low combination (low/low would be legal).

4. Changing the kickoff to the 35-yard line.

5. Allowing corporate advertising to be on the field of play if in compliance with other Rule 1-2 restrictions.

6. Removing the restriction that football jerseys have to be tucked in if longer than the top of the pant.

7. Requiring a minimum number of players on either side of the kicker on a free kick.

8. Further clarifying the use of electronic equipment during a contest.

9. Eliminating the five-yard face-mask foul.

10. Removing the penalty-marker colored restrictions on football gloves and pads.

The worst one on here is #6 For the love of God keep your shirt tail tucked in. If it gets pulled out then tuck it back in when you get a chance. I hate seeing players with jerseys hanging down to their knees. I know it sounds dumb to get mad about but show some respect and have some class.

Doesn't make a difference to me either way..but what the heck does a tucked in jersey have to do with respect or class?? This is a football game..not a meeting with the President.

I see less than 10% and we saw 4 kickers this year being looked at by colleges.

Instead of #4.... why not just allow players to bring the ball out of the endzone. Is that a NFHS rule or just an Ohio rule?

Son thinks a dumb rule is when you drive the ball 80 yards, fumble it out of bounds in the endzone and it's a touchback. I does seem odd that if it fumbles an inch in front of the pylon and it's on the inch line, and if it goes an inch behind it, you lose the ball and 20 yards.
