My dad use to drive to Atlanta every month for an antique show. Went through a few transmissions on his van, heading through the mountains.
Another friend lost his transmission in his brand new Chevy pick up, pulling a camper through the hills.
Hopefully they can fix it and it does not need replaced. I remember hearing when a transmission is kaput, reverse usually goes out first.
