Is this normal or I have raised a pedophile?

His mom and I are about to kick him out the house because we told him and he won't listen because he's still texting her. Her dad, Jim, is furious and wants to wax his ass. Just wanted to get your opinions.

Negative. I wouldn't let that fly at all. Not to mention he could go to jail for dating her, and seriously mess up his image.

Has he never seen To Catch a Predator?

Since it would be statutory rape here in Ohio, I suggest you go much farther than what you are now and really take care of this.

In Ohio if you are 18+ it is illegal to have sex with anyone <16.

This should be all you have to say:

"She becomes legal on her 16th birthday, wait until then dumbass."

The correct thing to do would be to turn your son into the property authorities. He made his choice to break the law, he should live with the consequences.

Don't let it happen. There's a decent chance you'll be left to help fix the issues when shit goes down.

Yea you need to put an end to it asap. 4 year gap isn't a big deal normally, but it definitely is in this case.

I always felt like HS romances should be a max of 2 years age difference. Think about a 17 and a 14 year old or a 16 and 13. It just seems gross to me.

Depends. If by "date" you mean "rail," then no.

Technically, if he really wants to date her, he can do so without breaking the law.

Isn't this fairly standard for NE Ohio? Her Daddy is probably furious because he aint gettin' it as regular now that she has a BF.

That he identified the girl's father by name made me wonder if this was a reference to something I missed in current culture (which would be 99% of it).
