Kinda both but there are better opportunities ahead for me there at our corporate office in Bloominington. I have been fighting it for a long time as they have been trying to get me to move up there for years. I finally said I'd do it, looking forward to being closer to my friends in Ohio again though, but I not looking forward to the winters!!hasbeen;1222707 wrote:Your choice or company's?

I lived there for about 2 and half years. It has it's good and bad. It's ok, for the post college transition, but I wouldn't want to live there again. The places were cheaply constructed, paper thin walls, and you run the chance of being near some loud douchers.dlazz;1222709 wrote:They got terribad reviews online. Try Fox & Hound off Henderson Road. There are a few decent complexes up that way....some others off Bethal and Sawmill Rd.

When I was in CBus, I lived in Westerville. Or rather, right on the line of Westerville and Columbus. My rent was in the $500s. I lived in a one bedroom unit at Hickory Creek on Hickory Creek Lane. My appliances and cabinets were new (they've updated a lot of stuff), it was close to 270 and 71. Only problem is the system that determines their rent price is driving on availability. So, they could advertise a 1 bedroom for $550, but that could mean that there are multiple units left. The price skyrockets once the number of apartments goes down. I HATED that. I remember going in at one price, and literally the same unit only two days later was $80 more per month. The guy literally showed me a chart where the advertised rent price would increase day by day.
On the flip side, I got the unit for about $40 less than advertised because I moved in early. It's a weird system.
Larger cities like Chicago (where I live now) have brokers who will help you find a place. We used one, and we pay $1700 for a two bed room unit in downtown Chicago. I didn't have to deal with the "If you move in on the 1st, it's $xxx, but if you move in on the 15th it'll be $xxx+." F that. My landlord set one price and that was it. Regardless if we moved in one day or the next.
Cliff's notes:
Try Hickory Creek, or try renting from a sole landlord and not a corporation. There's a place right across the street from Hickory Creek, but I can't think of the name. It's a Crawford Community I believe?

I would check out renting a condo I. The new Albany area a lot of the time you can find some good dealsThe problem with blacklick is e somiloans taking over the area. It is true most are in the Kennedy road area but, they are killing the schools. The schools have had to go out and hire special teachers to teach on Saturday's bc they refuse to let their kids be taught by women and non somiloans. They are also using the police and fire departments to much due to religious rituals like female circumcisions being performed in their homes.

Not too far and a easy around the block move.
We moved her about 4 months ago (her old roommate was transfereed to China and she had to move out because of the high rent) it was short notice so she settled in a small apartment alone, hated that.
She found another architect who needed a roommate they hit it off so everything worked out.
We will be moving her on Friday all day with hope to finish on Saturday morning the little stuff.
