This will be a four game series for our slugging Indians.

Then comes the All-Star break.

Should go 3-1 then, but will be happy with 2-2.

We will not beat Matt Moore. Lefty, strikesout a TON of hitters, and is on a roll.

Hellickson and Cobb are beatable righties. James Shields just seems to own the Tribe...Id love 3-1, but expect 2-2.

I didn't think we'd beat Verlander either, so you never know...but like I said, 2-2's okay by me

I am Ubaldo's good luck charm.

I saw him beat Detroit earlier in the year.

I also am 9-1 watching the Indians in person all time. Only loss came this year in Cincy (bastards).

Tampa's offense is atrocious.

28th in batting average and their highest average on the team that actually qualifies is Ben Zobrist, batting .247...

That's terrible lol

I actually like our lineup 1-3 and Brantley at 5-6. I wish Santana would step it up but his swing has been terrible since getting injured. I would love to get Soriano/ willingham to fill the 4 hole and have Hafner bat 5th with Brantley 6 and Carlos 7th

Love the way Brantley swings the bat. Stays balanced and makes solid contact consistently. Sometimes I forget with him because he seemed pretty polished and mature when he arrived to Cleveland in 2009, but he is still just 25. He is showing why he was a big part of that CC trade. He was consistently a .300+ hitter and high OBP guy in the minors. His walk rate is still a little low, but as he continues to stay hot with the bat he will probably see pitchers be more careful with him. Choo, Druby, Kipnis and Brantley are doing a nice job. If Hafner can stay healthy for most of the rest of the year these guys have a chance. As has been the case for a while, a righthanded stick in the middle of this lineup could really make it formidable. It's too bad Chiz went down when he did, because he really seemed to be getting comfortable and swinging it like many expected him to.

i think Brantley is hitting better because he isnt hesitating to pull the trigger on good pitches. there were times he would watch 1 or 2 pitches right down the middle just because he was trying to work the count as a lead off man. now it seems he is swinging more freely and hitting those pitches.

Speaking of this trade, I went to the Mud Hens/Clippers game last night, and man, did LaPorta look awful--he looks lost at the plate, and this is at the AAA level

I thought he did well enough at the big league level to earn a couple weeks time of consistent time. He scorched it to start the year at AAA, got the call up, and was sent right back down despite some good ABs. Gotta be disheartening.

I've always been a fan of his, and also thought he deserved more of a chance with the Tribe--last night, however, he really looked overmatched. Maybe he just had a very bad, "off" night.

I can't figure this one out. Laporta definitely has disappointed while in Cleveland, but his #'s last year were better than what Kotchman, Damon, Duncan and Cunningham are putting up. Why can't this guy get another shot this year? At least with him there is a chance that he gets better and starts to display the power he has shown in Columbus.
