That is one thing that is true. I won't have kids.

My oldest niece will be graduating high school next year and is currently ranked 3rd in her class. She scored very high on her ACT and will have at least half if not all of her college covered.dlazz;1218798 wrote:It was brought up at the table yesterday. There will always be outliers.Tigerfan00;1218884 wrote:My oldest niece will be graduating high school next year and is currently ranked 3rd in her class.

No matter how bad children are, someone always has to be third in their class.Tigerfan00;1218884 wrote:My oldest niece will be graduating high school next year and is currently ranked 3rd in her class. She scored very high on her ACT and will have at least half if not all of her college covered.

Proof that this constitutes the outlier and not the norm?dlazz;1218892 wrote:There will always be outliers.

being 3rd in ones class isn't a "norm"O-Trap;1218909 wrote:Proof that this constitutes the outlier and not the norm?

I fail to see the point you're trying to make. Typically those who do well in school are well-grounded and come from good households.

My point is that I'm curious where you're drawing your "kids these days" conclusions, if from anything more than the kids near you.dlazz;1218918 wrote:Typically those who do well in school are well-grounded and come from good households.
To be fair, IHOP isn't a great place to find an accurate cross-section of society.

My point is that kids seem to be ridiculously spoiled. They get away with everything.
They just suck to be around.
Also, you're right... It probably wasn't the best place to gauge kids.

I do. When we are flying it's required. My kids are too big for a stroller and I'm more worried about assholes bumping into them.

Leashes and collars around their necks? It seems like there would be a better option. Or does it go around their waist or something?j_crazy;1219157 wrote:I do. When we are flying it's required. My kids are too big for a stroller and I'm more worried about assholes bumping into them.

The kid leashes are really stupid.
Also stupid...flying with young kids. Unless you sedate them first, then they're fine. But seriously, I don't want to hear your screaming shitty kids on the plane or have those little fuckers kicking the back of my seat.
