AEP is better than FirstEnergy for both pricing and service from my experience.

Hope this helps.

North campus is like this everywhere. On my drive home last night, I saw a house fully engulfed in flames.

As of right now, my apartment still doesn't have power.

I had to work outside in Grandview (just northwest of Ohio State's campus) throughout the entire storm. Damn near almost blew me down the street. One of my friends on campus had a tree fall through her bedroom and literally impale her bed. Thankfully she was not home at the time. The building across from my girlfriends house had the roof cave in and a car in the street got totalled by a massive tree that fell on it. Luckily my power is still on but most of the campus area is blacked out, including street lights.

Driving home from work at about 1130 pm I nearly witness 2 major accidents from cars blowing through intersections where the stoplights were out and, if you werent familiar with the roads, were impossible to see. At the intersection of Neil and King there was a really bad accident involving 3 cars with about 5 ambulances there. Looked like one guy was still in his car not moving, something I rather would have not seen.

There are still trees and power lines down on many roads around campus. It's like navigating through a maze to try and get from point A to point B. I'll post some pictures I took later when I get a chance.

Paulding, Ottawa, Columbus Grove, VanWert, and Delphos all hit extremely hard. Auglaize County had 99% out of power. North of Ottawa several houses destroyed. And sadly...drove by the farm I grew up on, which was sold a few years ago after Dad passed away, and the barn that I remember playing in, feeding livestock in, stacking hay in...completely gone. Almost a 100 yr old barn......brought a tear to my eye:(

Yup. I thought it was pretty awesome and since it related to the storm, I posted it here.

We only got dark skies and a bit of lightening in Sandusky.

We got our power back late last night. I think it was about 29 hours without power. Our condo complex had all the wooden fences completely destroyed and the steel ripped right out of the ground on the mailbox overhang. Many houses lost siding and shutters. One house had a window blow in but it didn't break. My girlfriend and I had just got in the car when the storm hit. We were about 3 minutes away when I say fuck this we need to find cover. We ended up at my moms house since it was close but just getting there we saw two trees come down and a traffic light blow off the wires holding it.

I have a good friend in Sugar Grove. She has over a hundred acres of woods, prolly tore up. Don't you all have generators up there? My dad does. You have a state of emergency, your insurance should pay for a nice generator.

My wife's clinic came on last night. My neighborhood came on last night too, but everyone around us that was out is still out.

Just like Ohio, the DC area got nailed.
My apartment complex got lucky, as I never lost power. But, buildings and houses around, all lost power. I also have friends still without power.
Latest count has 5 dead in the DC-VA-MD area, and still over 800,000 without power. Just like Ohio, power is not anticipated for a few days.
I went out yesterday and today and this is by far worse than the hurricane that came in last year.

I talked with my parents in Portsmouth, and they have power, but it is spotty. Also, they had the porch swing come partially through the front window. Thankfully, it did not go fully through the second glass pain.

With temps still staying high, keep cool everyone.

Got pretty bad in Ironton, lots of downed trees and some power lines. We were without power for around 15 hours and just got internet back less than 1 hour ago.

It took me 2.5 hours to make a 45 minute trip to my campground. Trees and power lines were down everywhere. It was definitely no fun being on the road during this.

People are acting crazy here. Power is mostly on here in Athens area, but everybody is freaking out and buying a ton of crap at Walmart and Kroger. I turned around and walked out of Walmart and then went to Kroger had at least a 20 minute wait for gas. Ridiculous
