First 5 Twins hitters the 3rd time thru go 3/5 with one of those outs producing an RBI before a great defensive play stems the tide and makes the deficit only 2-1 when the Twins finish their half of the 7th.mhs95_06;1210335 wrote:Leake has 3 innings in the book on 35 pitches and 10 batters faced. Let's see how he does the 2nd time thru, and then hopefully the critical 3rd time thru. Hopefully the Reds' lead will be more than 1-0 by then.

One of two surprise moves by the Reds works on the bases!

But not to the point of resulting in the scoring of the tying run.

I love to see the opposition try to bunt when Leake is on the mound!

Mike Leake thru 8 on 86 pitches, but trails 2-1. If the Reds fail to take the lead in the bottom of the 8th, does Dusty send him out to start the 9th with the upper part of the order for the 4th time on the menu?

Valdez' speed, and hustling more than BP would, prevents Dozier from converting another great play into a lead-off out, and shortly thereafter he becomes the tying run on Joey's lead taking HR. Who is warming up now?

Chapman needs to throw at least one slider to Mauer!

Even with that slider immediately before, Mauer still fouls off a great 102 mph on the outer half!

It would be nice if he didn't throw every damn fastball belt high.

He's getting hit hard at 96. Guys can hit 96. Especially in a 3-1 count. He needs to be at 98-100 and mixing in the slider. Or else this is going to be the norm.
Another late inning loss hurts. IF they lose.
