The Buckeyes have no problems defeating this cupcake.
David Lighty (Cleveland St. Joe)led the winners with 20 points.

Mark Titus scored his first point of the season for the Buckeyes.

Zisis Sarikopoulos wasa ble to connect on his first free throw of the season.

I didn't watch any of the game, but just checked out the box score. I'm really surprised that Diebler and Lighty played as many minutes as they did in such a decisive game.

jordo, yes it was a cupcake but it could have been a closer game if the true Pres. team played. They are fairly new to D1 basketball and next year they are eligible for the NCAA tournament. Their three best players who comprised of over 50% of their scoring last year redshirted this season so they could have a chance at making the tournament next season.

Matta stated in an interview that some of his players weren't rebounding well because they were, "looking around for ET to grab the rebound."

Dumbest excuse ever.

This cupcake was also scheduled by UNC who beat them last week as well. And as mentioned, they had their 3 best players redshirt for the turn to D1 next year.
But yes, they were a really bad team.
OSU came out of the gates well, shooting very well from the outside. Took a big lead, then cruised. Matta was disappointed with the second half as Presb. actually outscored OSU. Nature of the game though..one team with big lead lets up.

I don't think they're eligible until 2011-2012. All 3 guys redshirting this year are juniors.

Jeez, don't get all upset. I'm a Buckeye fan too man. I was just pointing out that I had never heard of them, and I'd consider myself to be a pretty good college basketball fan.

And just because they played UNC doesn't mean that they aren't a cupcake.

Why would u think I was upset? I could care less. I know they were bad, and I would prefer OSU not play teams like this to be honest. If I am going to pay good money for tickets(which I do), I'd at least like to see some kind of competition going on. Unfortunately, as I pointed out, OSU is not the only team playing teams like this.

Do any of top 100+ schools have a problem beating "cup cakes"? They ALL play them.

As was explained by Matta, the players need time getting used to playing without Turner. Different responsibilities, players playing different positions ,running different plays/sets.
