Let's pretend that we make a trade for a right handed stick and bring up LaPorta.

I agree with you Hits.

My two cents worth: one of the biggest homers of all time announcers. I think back to when he did fairly well with the Red Sox, was the big golfer playboy blah blah. Traded to the Indians and breaks his leg sliding in to second base. Career over. He probably did it intentionally to get paid off from his contract and quit since he was sentenced to hell by being traded to Cleveland. Then he hooks up with the ChiSox to announce.

This was all about 40 or a thousand years ago. Hits and Footwedge will verify.

End of history lesson for today. ;-)

Traded for a pitcher with an ERA of 6 with the Sox (25 y/o Zach Stewart) and a utility player(Brent Lillibridge) batting .175. I would have guessed a lot more.

Just shows that no one was really interested. Very low risk move by the White Sox.....smart move

Hawk thinks baseball is professional wrestling. Bob Prince used to do the radio p by p for the Pirates and he had a similar style. A lot of homerism and a bunch of cute sayings.

They loved him in Pottsburgh....and yes...I lived there in the late 60's and early 70's.

I'm going to be the optimist today and say that the Tribe is doing better at this point in the season than I would have imagined before the season started. In fact......way better.

The Reds are not elite. Votto is elite...Phillips is elite defensively...Stubbs has elite speed....bout it. That statement was spot on.

Sounds like that hillbilly, marble mouthed homer I used to catch snippets of who did the Steelers games (Myron Cope) on some of those old NFL Films shows.

Yeah, but to me...Cope was so bad, he was actually kinda funny, much like Austin Carr. Hawk is just flat out horrible and retarded.
