11 strikes in 12pitches....Perez was unhittable. Another great performance by Ubaldo.

Ubaldo had a sequence today against two batters..

94,95,96....next batter saw pitches of 84,83,85

That's filthy.

In the spirit of JS going away for a long long time.

Houston's offense > Joe Amendola

94,95,96
These are the numbers that set it up for Ubaldo. Early in the year, that fastball was 89,90,91....huge difference.

Kevin Youkilis Rumors: Saturday
By Mike Axisa [June 23, 2012 at 8:24am CST]
Yesterday we learned that the White Sox may be best positioned to swing a trade for Kevin Youkilis, who is losing playing time to rookie Will Middlebrooks. The Braves have scouted him in recent weeks though the Pirates are said to have little interest. Here are today's Youkilis rumors, with the latest up top...

The Red Sox are speaking with multiple clubs and continue to move closer to a deal, reports Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports. The ChiSox have engaged in "heavy dialogue" with Boston but the Dodgers remain in the mix as well. The Sox prefer to trade Youkilis to an NL club.

Gomez is hot garbage. They need to go out and get another arm. Tomlin, Lowe & Gomez can't be relied on and Ubaldo & Masterson are hit & miss.

They need a left handed pitcher and a right handed stick(how long have we been saying that). Also, I think Hamilton was saying that they are currently, 5-19 against lefties this year....Hafner, Kipnis, Santana, and Choo are all batting at the mendoza line or lower against lefties.

I think they were around 32-14 against RH starters last I heard this season.

First place tribe with a run differential of minus 36. Acta the master of turning a 2 run loss into a major blowout. LMAO.

I agree and send Gomez down till he figures it out again.

That said, in Gomez defense...yiou are not going to win many games scoring only 1 run. LF is a black hole...another o'fer by Damon. I really would like them to try LaPorta out there. If he hits .240 and and an occasional home run he will be a big improvement over what we've been putting out there.

pretty much says it all:

http://www.toledoblade.com/Pro/2012/06/24/Gomez-rocked-again-as-Astros-rip-Indians.html

Where does Gomez (4-7, 5.18) go from here? He's 1-5 with a 7.92 ERA (27 earned runs in 30⅔ innings) in his last six starts. He has not worked six innings in any of those starts.
In that stretch, Gomez has allowed 42 hits, eight homers, and 13 walks with only 12 strikeouts. When asked if it was time to send Gomez to the minors, manager Manny Acta said, '"It's only been 12 minutes since the game ended. We're going to sit back and evaluate."

My buddy Jeanmar needs to head south for a month or 2. Time to bring up McCallister. I think that Jeanmar will straighten it out...he did rock for his first 7 starts.

He isn't provided the same slack that Ubaldo received. Go figure. Ubaldo had been garbage for 4 months...not 6 weeks. That's what happens when you pay one guy 4 million or so...and you pay the other guy $300,000 or so.

32 and 19. but point well taken. We scored one run against a guy with a 5 ERA in triple A yesterday. Shit has to stop.

Well for one thing, the left field spot in the batting order needs to become something other than an automatic out. When you are playing in a National League park, that means you have two spots in the order (the pitcher) that won't contribute much to the offense. How do you get a rally going that puts crooked numbers on the board?
