I don't get it either. Most major league players are gonna time a 96 mph fastball when they see 4 or 5 in a row. Can't be a one pitch pitcher, it will catch up with you eventually.Terry_Tate;1205348 wrote:Don't understand why he doesn't throw more breaking balls, especially when his velocity is down like it is tonight. Lot easier to get a hit when you know he's throwing fastballs.

He'll probably be down to 92 tops by the end of his contract and being killed with just a straight fastball with not much movement and inability to control any secondary pitches, and will be DFA'd before the contract is up!Midstate01;1205361 wrote:Why he was only throwing 95 or 96 I have no idea.

My buddy said that Dusty said yesterday that Chapman was injured. I don't remember hearing that, but it would explain why his velocity was down. It would not explain, however, why the fuck he would be throwing tonight.

Loved the Indians fan getting in the face of the Reds fan right close to where the homer landed.

Ehh. First game this month where the Reds didnt score at least 3 runs. They were bound to have a game like this. Win today to win the season series and I'll be happy.
