I have a friend, who is white. He started dating a girl, who was also white, but she had a black daughter. His parents were PISSED. Huge falling out.

After watching the nine white guys my sisters-in-law have married and divorced, I don't think the same-race thing does much to guarantee a good relationship. :D

I dated a black guy in high school...my mom and stepdad were perfectly fine with it but my dad was not a fan.

I would not care if anyone in my family dated someone of another race. All that matters to me is how people treat the people I love.

Absolutely. Disapproving of someone your child dates/marries because of race makes you an asshole. If they treat your kid right it should not matter in the least.
