I cannot go a single day without someone next to me texting and driving. It drives me absolutely insane. I probably should have listed it in the driving peeve thread. I think it deserves it's own thread, though, and I'll add a poll.

Basically, if you text and drive you're just awful.

Yep.

I use Siri. Dont take my eyes off the road when the car is moving. Ill look to see if Siri got it right when I get to a stop light or something.

Yes. I also browse the internet while I drive during long trips.

I could pass the license test while texting, so I should be allowed to drive while texting.

I'm to the point now where I'm a worse driver when not on my phone than when I'm on my phone because I've gotten so used to it. Never had a ticket and never been close to a wreck.

Does scare the shit out of me that other drivers do it though. :)

I rarely do. Usually only when I'm stopped,.so not actually driving. Also, only short responses.

I used to all the time before I had an iPhone. The old phones has that dot on the 5 where I never looked at my phone and texted. But that's back when I was single and texting like 10000 a month. Probably less then a 1000 a month now.

I have before, but I try not to. If it's important, though, I'm not afraid to call someone.

This is what I don't understand. If it's so important that you have to get back to someone immediately while putting everyone on the road near you in danger why not just call? And if it's not important, why not just wait until you're stopped?

I do not, big pet peeve. If I'm in a car with someone that is doing it, I take the phone away from them and throw it in the back seat. Not that important.
